Admittedly this was kind of a depressing stop on a Sunday afternoon. I actually wanted to go to the Dregs but I couldnít find them, not to mention that they are apparently closed on Sundays, and saw this by accident. The upside is that while here I spotted Hund and Bier House next door. My kind of place. Anyway, Royal Falconer moved from downtown Riverside to downtown Redlands, which tells you something. Itís dark, they have heavy wooden doors, and they have a dozen taps (mostly uninteresting). I spotted a Goose Island tap, a Hangar 24 tap, and a Firestone tap but most of the rest were Guinness, Fullers, Bass, Bud Light, etc. Meh. They did have the game on (the Niners were beating the Packers) but I couldnít bring myself to rot away on a sunny Sunday afternoon in a dingy bar buying mediocre beer. The clientele were lively and having a good time so this could make a fun stop on a pub crawl around downtown Redlands but itís not a beer destination.

Very casual, dark, yet inviting, British pub. Decent mix of U.K., and local/state beers on tap (altough it would have been nice to find at least one Fullers selection in the mix). Food was so-so and service was pretty slow considering the patron to staff ratio.

A casual British style pub with good enough food and good to very slow service. Decent selection of beers with a nod towards U.K. products as expected. Decent for what it is although Iíve had more than a couple off tasting beers (draft line problems?) Not much changes here. Mostly go next door now - better beers, service, etc.

The original location, and still my favorite. Same selection of beers more or less as the Riverside location. Better food - I recommend trying the curry chips. The service isnít as good as that at the Riverside location.
