This is a gas station that just happens to have an enormous selection of beer from around the world. Belgium, Sotland, England, Germany are well represented, plus a lot of regional stuff. One of the best Belgian selections Iíve seen outside Belgium. A must stop while in KC.

This is my go-to liquor store in the Kansas City area (although it helps that it is only 0.5 mile from my work). When you walk in, the store looks like your average mid-sized liquor store, but the beer selection is on par with the best liquor stores in the metro area. Brad is always at the store to let you know what new beers are in and always willing to help out and give recommendations.

Kind of a dirt ball joint with a bunch of dirt balls buying Busch Light constantly but the beer selection is unparalleled in KC. Several hundred bottles including a ton of imports. A lot of beer rotting here, so a little caution is needed. One of the best stops for bottles in KC.

hell, this place has a freakiní amazing selection! new belgians (be still my beating heart) that Iíd never tried before, drie fontienen scheerb?sometiní kriek? de ranke guldenberg, cantillon rose de gambrinus and bruscella 1900 grand cru and also grimbergen double and blonde and hell yes, de proef primitive and ko blond. i picked up a bottle of blaugies la moneuse (sp?) which was amazing to say the least! also had some new french stuff from Thiriez, finally some north coast (rasputin, red seal etc) and breckenridge. overall, iím still moderately impressed. best kc belgian section by far!

Royal Liquors is my preferred retail outlet in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
For the storeís size and floor space in a "per capita" like fashion I would venture to say they have as good a selection as any in relative comparison to others stores of the same available retail floor space.
The tangible area this store succeeds in is service. Brad the Beer Manager is one of the more knowledgeable beer staff in the Metro area, lending his opinion per request, with the friendliest and most professional demeanor.
In itís relative location (within 10 sq miles) you will not find another store with the same selection or knowledgeable staff.

First ever visit this week. Was impressed by the European selection. Beer section spread out and the store ( it is also a convenience store) gets very busy. Does seem that they keep rarer beers under the counter or in the back room. Worth a visit for sure.

Great selection for the shelf size they have. If you have questions, make sure the beer manager, Chris, helps you out. Service is a 10 when he is involved, about a 2 otherwise. In addition to really knowing his stuff, he is a genuinely nice guy and very passionate about beer. Would score higher if it wasnít in a gas station, but wadda ya goin do.

One of the best selections in KC. The beer manager (Brad) is friendly, familiar with all of his stock, tweets new arrivals several times per week, and has given me some great recommendations. The other clerks seem to be hit-or-miss as far as customer service goes. I also appreciate that they keep a few of the rarer seasonals behind the counter. All-in-all, itís definitely my go-to beer store for the southern KC area.

One of my hotspots for beerhunting on my trip to KC. Typical Liquor store. Kinda dirty, although this one finishes with an odd SKA/Punk vibe. Red Bull Cola in stock! +1. A nice selection of imports all neatly organized. Belgium, Germany, and Russia mostly. A good selection of New Belgium and Southern Tier (cant get them in Georgia). Lot of other goodies. Prices are a bit better at Lukas.
