Royal Mile Whiskies is (unsurprisingly) a whisky shop on the Royal Mile. Inside it is a touch small and cramped, but they offer a nice selection of beverages nonetheless. The beer is located on the immediate right hand side of the store and includes some pretty decent stuff from Scottish microbreweries. The focus is clearly on Scottish stuff with the likes of Barney’s, BrewDog, Cromarty, Elixir, Krafty and Williams Bros represented. Yes I know it is touristy, but I always seem to find something new to me. If you don’t have time to head out to the better bottle shops outside the centre of Edinburgh I recommend swing past here.

Perfectly located on the main tourist street.Has a descent selection of Scottish ales. When I was there I got good service from än employee who knew his Scottish micro breweries. Well worth a visit if walking along Royal Mile up to the castle.

Very touristy whiskey shop on the Royal Mile. Has 1 fridge containing a reasonable selection of some of the best Scottish beers. Worth popping into if you are passing but don’t go out of your way for this one.
