Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon after stopping at New Glarus. They had a smaller quantity of New Glarus here, but the variety was more diverse. They had some of the last few seasonals still around and I could build a mixed six pack or buy individual bottles. Prices were a little better than at New Glarus as well. I didnít actually see any employees until I checked out, which is fine. While checking out, they two employees I saw were both very friendly and mentioned that I could build a whole six pack if I wanted, since I only had two individual bottles plus some six packs and some big bottles. Very friendly. On a bit of a side note, I was kind of hoping to find some local cheese here, but didnít have much luck. Maybe I just missed it.

Stopped in after the brewery, decided not to buy anything at the brewery and roll my dice here. The only thing Royís did not have was the anniversary 500mL bottles. Otherwise, the fruit 750s were 20 cents cheaper and everything else the same. However, Royís did have 4 or 5 12oz bottles set aside as singles. I made a mix pack, got a Rhubarb, and a 4 pack of Imperial Weizen. Store was simple and clean. No need to go here unless you accidentally come to the brewery and its closed.

Small grocery store. Slightly larger New Glarus selection than at the brewery. Thats it.

Itís a grocery store. I stopped here before the brewery to see what they had. Big New Glarus selection, but unlike some previous ratings there were more options for about the same price at the brewery. Still, prices arenít bad. A few other Wisconsin craft beers but not much. Parking is fine. Didnít interact with any employees.

I cannot believe that this place has a higher score than new Glarus brewery so you can save about 50 cents on a sixer this place wouldnít even exist on this sight if it werenít for the brewery it is a mom and pops grocery store and the only real beer they have is new glarus and they do have a lot, but to have this rated higher than the brewery is very disrepectful

This is the place to buy New Glarus beer, when you are in New Glarus. Theyíve got just about anything thatís out from New Glarus in a big olí display. Not to mention the awesome pint glasses for a buck fifty with the New Glarus logo on one side and the Royís Market logo on the other (which is an awesome logo). Beyond the lil corner oí New Glarus stuff, they have a pretty standard grocery store beer selection... You can get some Bells stuff, some Capital stuff, other WI micros are around but not in abundance. The staff is very nice, but it is indeed a grocery store, and beer is in no way their specialty. They tried to get me a "better bottle" of Raspberry Tart one time because the one I got had too much "stuff" in the bottom of the bottle. They meant well but.....

well, think of going to the new glarus brewery, but paying much less. I cant blame the brewery for charging more, afterall, itís better to support the brewer, distributor and Roy all in one shopping experience. Good choice of lots of beer. GO THERE

Hereís all you need to know: A supermarket located 1/4 mile S from New Glarus on the main highway, with 750s of Raspberry Tart and Belgian Red for $7.50 each, or $84 with a case discount (compare with $8.75/$104 case - no discount - AT New Glarus). Singles of everything available at the brewery plus a few more. Itís kind of sad when the store next door has a better selection and better prices than the actual brewery, but beer travelers should be aware of this store so they can save a few bucks and also find a few things that New Glarus maybe doesnít have.
