Definitely has kind of a road house feel to it. Itís a big a room that leads to the a beach volleyball court in the back that has the kind of scoreboard that use to frequent high school football stadiums. They had 12 taps or some with some local craft mixed in the BMC. They also have some decent craft bottles but nothing exotic. The reason to come here is th barbecue. Itís fantastic! One of the best barbecue places Iíve ever been to. Itís not a destination place for beer but for barbecue itís amazing.

Well the outside looked a bit too nice to be a proper barbeque restaurant, but once we walked inside it had a proper divey half finished decor. The barbeque was a bit dry, but they do have some great sauces, so thatís a plus. On the day we visited, they only had 4/10 taps running, the rest were tapped out. The mix was decent, 2 BMC, the rest craft, mainly locals. Not a beer destination, but they do have some good barbeque.

I love this place. My in-laws live just up the mountain from it, so itís a safe place to get good local brews on tap. The owner is a prince, and I have seen some great Southern rock shows there (no jokeI would never deign to call myself a Southern rock fan by any means, but theyíve had shows featuring members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Willie Nelsonís band, and the Flying Burrito brothers playing together... all pros... great stuff). Order the Sloppy Ruby (itís amazing) and a Pisgah and go out back and throw some cornhole. A little slice of mountain heaven.

the food here is great, very good bar-b-q.... the selection is very large, and for a restaurant that happens to have a bar this is the best selectin in town, if it was just a bar it would still fare well. The best thing about this place is the food, and a quality selection to go with it.

This place is just a few minutes from downtown Asheville. I think a lot of the non-hippie locals come here to watch the game and get a brew. The tap selection is mostly comprised of regional brews such as French Broad, Pisgah, Highland, Duck Rabbit, Sweetwater, etc. and two tall coolers have more imports and micros. The bar seats a dozen or so patrons and another dozen or so can sit in front of the big screen as well at two smaller bar-type tables. I didnít have any food, though the next time I have a hankeriní for some southern BBQ I may have to. This is really only a recommended stop if you donít want to deal with parking and walking downtown or maybe if youíre in the mood for BBQ. Many of the bars with better beer selections are missing a TV, so this could be a good spot to watch the game and have a tasty NC beer.
