Really great brewpub overall. Great selection, great food and great beer, of course! This place was packed on a Friday afternoon with mostly locals and a few out of towners like us. Very good time.

Visited late Sep 2014. Busy evening, had to grab a pint at the bar and wait for a table to eat. Nice vibe though, friendly and the crowd seemed happy and quite diverse. Service was very good, selection was decent: obviously all the favourites plus the less-hyped beers which were still nice but not mindblowing. Food was good, prices were ok, draft and takeaway beer prices were good. Definitely worth a stop.

Visited on Sunday evening, 27/04/14 around 9pm.
The place was pretty packed, no room at the bar but we grabbed one of the last remaining tables.
I took down the tasting tray which contained all 18 beers that were on tap, with a bottle top from each nailed onto the tray next to the beer, which was pretty cool.
Solid beers as you come to expect from RR but you also get some of the ’you’ve tried the best, now try the rest’ offerings which didn’t really excite but a rates a rate.
Food was solid enough but not standout.
Picked up 6 bottles of fresh Pliny to go for a little over $30, bottled 5 days previously. 6 bottle limit per person.
The crowd was largely 25/30 something locals, we got chatting to some beer geeks who had come for the weekend from SF.
In all a solid stop.

I drove up with Patty while visiting Kara in San Jose. We got there 11:15AM on a Monday and plenty of tables left. Got the 15 beer sampler as it seemed most people near us were getting to try as many of their beers as possible since their beer does not travel far from the brewery. Great place, great service, great food, great beer, great time! A employee even stepped out front to photo bomb the pic Patty was taking of me by the Brewery sign. Good times.

This place is legendary and rightly so. Was worth the drive and the stay in a dodgy Travelodge. World class, great selection.

Crazy busy every time I’ve been here, service on my last visit was really slow because they were packed for Framboise sales. They must just print money. Pizza is very good. The beer is exceptional. I would go broke if I lived within a 2 hour radius of this place. If you visit San Francisco, rent a car and hit this place up. It should be on any beer geek’s fermentation bucket list.

I waited a long time to try Pliny. Simply because I wanted it from the source. So stopping in here with my buddy AJax was a special day. The draft selection and bottles for sale was really impressive. I didn’t eat anything here because we were here simply for the beer. I wish we could have spent a little more time here. This was part of an epic 6 days of California beer!

Besøgte dette sted som det tredje bryggeri i Cali men den første brewpub og må indrømme at jeg var blown away. Første dag kommer en halv time efter åbning men allerede lang kø. Meget hjælpsomt personale, ingen problemer med to børn, søde mennesker hele vejen rundt og fantastisk øl. Whats not to like.

Visited on a Sunday in July (2014).
Quite crowded even at noon and I was lucky to get a seat at the bar after about 10 minutes of standing. Seeme a bit understaffed for the size of the crowd (and the crowd was predictable, I expect, given summertime and a discount on pints on Sundays). A fine range of beers available on tap, as well as some bottles to go. Bottles of Pliny were selling like crazy. Bar reached capacity during my visit and there was a small line when I left. Tasters are available, including a large rack featuring all 18 or 20 of their beers.
