66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Brugmansia (257) Jylland, Denmark | March 4, 2013 Visited on 4/10-2012.
Larger citypub a bit away from citycenter. 2 storage, and with the brewing plant visible. Using malt from Weyermann :-)
We were lycky to be around at the release of the bock, so a bit " Octoberfest " atmosphere. Friendly staff, they do food as well but we didn´t have any.. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 shrubber85 (164) Greenville, Indiana | August 6, 2011 Easy enough to find and near the river. Has a nice outdoor area. Standard regional food. Usually have 3-4 of their own beers. A nice stop. | 62 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 3/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 13/20 Grima (20) Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany | November 22, 2010| Updated January 21, 2011 Good Brauhaus, all beers are definitely to be recommended.BUT: We have been there for several times, and we have never been satisfied with the food. Beer: passed! Food: Failed! BTW: Service is a little bit slow, but very friendly! | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 Bierkrug (257) Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Germany | November 4, 2010| Updated January 21, 2011 Just off the Autobhan it is a very nice place to go. Went just as they openned. No problems with service at all. The place is large and has a great international menu. They had four beers on tap when I was there. Helles, Bock, Dunkel, and Weizen. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 steamfreak (54) , England | April 14, 2010 Another excellent hausbrauerei in Saarland. The location is a bit weird on an industrial site but once inside it’s homely and very busy. Food portions are enormous and the beer quality high | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Borresteijn (141) Amsterdam, Netherlands | August 24, 2009 Visited their Biergarten, which lacks a bit of ambiance because the brewpub is located at an industrial area more or less. However, the beers were fine, the food was good and the portions were large (shared a single person portion with my girlfriend and we still couldn’t finish it) and the waitress was very friendly. She looked like she just flew in from the Theresienwiese. Inside area looks marvellous, lots of wood with a really nice authentic feel, looks a bit like a really large Belgian beer bar. Worth a visit if you’re in the area. | 44 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 Braudog (655) Hampton, Virginia | November 22, 2006 Visited several times between 2001-2006, this brauhaus that is run as part of the Karlsberg empire, is nestled into the waterfront/marina in Merzig. Always crowded and that’s the best sign there is! | 48 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 Saarlander (22) Saarlouis/ Rancho Cucamonga,CA, Germany | August 17, 2005| Updated December 31, 2006 This place truely has so much potential! Good beer, overworked staff(Not Enough)laughed at me 2 times when I asked to buy a shirt, 2 years later, they sold me one! Update, things have gotten better, service is better, and more organized now. |
