Meh - laddish garish footballl kinda of a bar. Could not have dragged my missus in here with wild horses. Standard Salopian fayre, none of their better beers. Some okay guests. Nope. not for me.

I enjoyed by visit to the Salopian. A decent selection of real ales were on offer, although they were all of a similar style and strength. On top on this there was a selection on bottles available with the usual Belgian suspects and about eight from flying dog. A good atmosphere and good service.

The pub has an opened up feel to it, comfortable, but no quiet areas with sport being shown on tv at both ends of the bar, luckily Cricket so at least I was happy. It is mainly about the beer in here with a wide range from local and not so local small breweries, well chosen and kept. Then there is a fairly good range of imported bottled beers, not extensive yet, but with a few good choices. Helpful staff and customers. Very good and the must visit pub of Shrewsbury.

Modern, popular almost ’hip’ pub down by the river. Good quality real ales and and an interesting bottle list of mainly Belgian beers (along with the correct glasses). They also have a couple of sweet Belgian fruit beers on-tap, Fruli and a Kriek.
Friendly staff and customers, the food is supposed to be good too (designer burgers and the like): it certainly looks good, but I’ve never eaten here.
A couple of big screens for sport (on my visits) but you can usually find a place where they are not obtrusive like I do.

Shrophire CAMRA pub of the year for 4 of the last 5 years. Awesome bar close to the river on the North side of town. They have 8 real ale hand pulls including a number of guests. There is also a selection of pissy lagers for the uneducated :-) Staff know their beers and are helpful and always offer a taste. Thursday nights is music night. Fantastic performers on the night I was here. Check it out. I'll certainly be back

Great little bar that appears to have been refurbished in the last couple of years, styling a bit strange but comfortable and tidy little place. Impressive selection of beers, ciders and perries with a dedicated board showing what ciders and Perries are on at the time. Really enjoyed this little bar and would recommend it as it is well worth seeking out.
