Yeah nothing to write home about. They seem to be cooler than thou there and the bottle prices are through the roof. 90% of what they have there is available at tanakaya anyway. I only went for the anniversary cos they had some good beers on tap. The bar tender was friendly, the owner was in his own little world, as were most of the customers. A bit decrepit I would only go back there If I was seeking something special out and had a huge wad of cash on hand

Be ready to pay a lot but the selection could be worth it for some. Bourbon paradise with a great selection of craft beers (some that are almost impossible to get anywhere else). Bar is lovely. A great place to kick back and chill. Part of it was occupied by boxes (perhaps for his 10th anniversary). Beer quality is very good. Selection unrivalled. Not cheap: 500yen cover plus if you ask for a mouthful of water, youíll be charged for the whole bottle. We found out when we went to pay. I shouldíve ordered something rare to help justify the expense. Bring your wallet.

Before I die, or maybe as a way of dying (like Nick Cage in Leaving Las Vegas), I want to spend every waking hour here for at least a month. This place is more about bourbon than anything else, something I love, but his bottle beer cooler is friggin ridiculous. Talk about your barrel-aged extravaganzas! I have no idea how Koji gets this stuff, nor do I care. I just want it. All. Donít go here. You will only drink what I hope to find when I get back, and then it will be gone. So donít go here.

Great little bar with an excellent beer selection for Japan. Bombers of Three Floyds, Moylans, Stone, and others with bottles from a variety of U.S. micors that you WILL NOT find anywhere else in Japan. DFH, Lagunitas, Allagash, Avery, Alesmith, etc. Not a bad bottle in the selection. Also has a few taps of japanese micors and from what I hear he brings in kegs of U.S. stuff from time to time, as well. Prices are a bit steep, even for the Tokyo area but Iíll gladly pay because of what he offers. The owner is friendly and willing to talk beer with you. Love it.

A cool little place, run by a really cool guy. Michael (real name Koji) goes the US and is a huge craft beer fan. He brings back beers just for his bar, like DFH, Avery, Stone, Goose Island and many other top top micros. This is great if you live in Japan, but if you are visiting from the US, you may give these beers a pass. He also has 2-4 taps running with different beers each week from Shiga Kogen, Baird, Minoh and Fujizakura. His regular bottled beers includes some Japanese micros. He is the only person in Japan, who owns DFH hop filter and runs hop filter events every friday night (as of Fall 06). The place also has 350 bourbons if that floats your boat as well. Food is standard pub grub, but is done well. I had an ESB Curry and drank Shiga Kogen IPA and the match was perfect. This is not on the typical beer hunters list of places to visit in Tokyo, but it is somewhat of a hidden gem. Also only about 3 stops from Copa. Recommend Copa for dinner and a couple and then hit Sals. To get there: Saginuma station on Denentoshi line. 21 mins out from Shibuya. Leave station, take a left, then another left, and make your first left after you cross the bridge. Up about 50 meters on the right hand side.
