Visited Oct 06. All the ambiance and service you can expect of a gas station quick-stop, but donít let that dissuade you...they have one of the better selections youíre likely to find in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. Lots of neat treasures to stumble across, scattered about the back of the store. Some things might be a bit old, and lightstruck bottles are possible in some cases (from fluorescents, not sun), so some care is required, but overall this is worth the drive.

This place is the definition of a " diamond in the rough". I canít think of any other store that allows you to peruse a massive selection of good beers and letís you fill up your gas tank! This place is a must if you ever pass through north carolina. But be prepared to spend at least an hour looking around at all the shit you want but know you canít afford.

First went here about a year ago during a holiday break from school. Was very impressed with the selection, they already had so many great beers just months after the Pop the Cap campaign made beer over 6%abv available in NC. Service depends on who is there, some of the clerks know a lot about beer and will give reccomendations if you sound interested. Small, but nice selection of proper glassware. Always a plus. Iíve met Jamie and have enjoyed chatting with him. Wish the location was better, but cant complain about whats inside.

Great beer selection in a run down unassuming gas station. The store was rather warm which isnít good for some of these delicate beers, but I canít fault them on selection. Great mead selection, which you donít widely see.

The selection at this place is second to none. Theyíve got an amazing number of beers here, and I had no trouble finding a bunch of new brews. I was a tad disappointed with the service, since it seemed like it was just a couple people with jobs, rather than run by people who love beer. But this is a definite stop if youíre looking for craft beer.

stopped into Samís on a trip to Raleigh... Samís is not your normal beer store - it is essentially a gas station / convenient store with a boat load of awesome beer.... coming from GA, I was thrilled to be greeted with Founders, Thirsty Dog, Moylans, Bells, Ballast Point, Hoppin Frog and rarities such as Black Albert, Pannepot and more. The selection is top notch... the employees seem to know there stuff and the overall pricing was average. They do allow you to break six packs, which was great since I canít get Founders at home.... highly recommended indeed.... just go in willing to drop some $$.

Wandered around here prior to the Durham WBF. Amazing selection! Donít let the appearance fool ya - top shelf stuff here, including vintage beers. I bought a 1999-2005 J.W. Leeís Harvest vertical right off the shelf! Prices were pretty reasonable overall, and the staff was helpful without being up your butt.

Wow, this place is awesome. It looks like your run-of-the-mill convenience store from the outside and when you enter, but then there is a huge room with a great beer selection. I saw/purchased a few things I havenít seen anywhere else in North Carolina. Prices are reasonable, too. I got to talk shop (i.e., beer) with Magjaryna, too. A must-visit if youíre in the area.

A good beer store given that it is on a very beer poor state. The 6% ABV limit really hampers what they can carry but they do mamnage to have quite a selection. Looks like a run down 7-11 from the outside.

This is the store that never ends. An amazing wall-to-wall selection. Around every corner is something new and special. Excellent variety of styles, breweries, regions, countries, maybe other planets. Great prices, friendly service and great hours. Fresh local growlers and pints available!
