I know that Jamie (magjayran) works here, but I never got to meet him sadly. Service was ok, the dude behind the counter left me alone. Very friendly after talking to him, but i think he had more peircings in his face than the store had in beer selection. Just joking, this guy was awesome! Was very cool with me just putting stuff on the counter to buy after a few minutes of browsing. An awesome store, they had alot of stuff, all of the alalgash beers just no Four, which I was really hoping to find. New Jolly Pumpkins - check. This place hs alot of beer, and its a gas station so you would almost never anticipate that was going to happen. Too bad I couldnt meet Jaime, dunno what he was doing tonight. Other than that, really cool place that I will visit next time I am in the area.

Most of the guys working there are extremely knowledgeable - but a couple seem barely interested, so your experience will depend a lot on who happens to be working. Great selection, good monthly deals with the $15 lifetime membership to the discount club.

This is the coolest gas station/car wash that Iíve ever been to. The reason: the huge beer selection that takes up most of the real estate inside the store. I have driven by this place on the way to work for the last 7 months and had no idea it was such a beer retailing juggernaut. Itís just off the Durham Freeway near Duke Universityís east campus. The staff were very helpful. They have a good number of Belgians in stock in addition to macros and micros from around the country. Mixed 6 packs are allowed.

One of the better selections that Iíve seen in NC. A little disorgainized, as youíll find the same beer in three or four different locations. Staff pretty mcuh left me alone ot browse, but was quite helpful whenever I asked about something. This place certainly isnít about ambience, but then Iím more interested in selection than fancy surroundings, and selection is what this place is about. Itís right off the Durham Freeway, so itís quite convenient if youíre passing through as I often do. I suspect Iíl be stopping here quite a bit in the future.

If youíve read one review of this place youíve read them all, but Iíll put my $.02 in. A hole-in-the-wall kind of place. A nasty gas station with class. A beer drinkerís peep show locale. Thatís the impression you get. Thereís something dirty, yet provocative about this place. You walk in and in the back there it is, a very substantial collection of quality ales and lagers, which one will have a hard time tracking down in this part of the world. You gotta love a place like this. In fact, if Iím going to buy beer, Iím going here. I could smell the cashier 10 feet away, people coming and going, all sorts in and out, but 1 thing in common--everybodyís there for the beer.

As has been said, doesnít look like more than a typical gas station, but has a nice stock inside. Most of it is sitting out on shelves, although some of it is in coolers. Staff was friendly, but not particularly beer knowledgable. Has a fairly strong stock of local micros, good selection of belgains, decent selection of other american micros, though not stellar. Definitely worth a stop, even if it is a bit of a drive.

This place has the largest selection of beers that I know of in the triangle. Itís hard to believe from looking at the outside of this place that youíre going to find hundreds of different beers inside. Lots of the new high gravity Belgians are here. Has good prices too.
