If youíve read one review of this place youíve read them all, but Iíll put my $.02 in. A hole-in-the-wall kind of place. A nasty gas station with class. A beer drinkerís peep show locale. Thatís the impression you get. Thereís something dirty, yet provocative about this place. You walk in and in the back there it is, a very substantial collection of quality ales and lagers, which one will have a hard time tracking down in this part of the world. You gotta love a place like this. In fact, if Iím going to buy beer, Iím going here. I could smell the cashier 10 feet away, people coming and going, all sorts in and out, but 1 thing in common--everybodyís there for the beer.

As has been said, doesnít look like more than a typical gas station, but has a nice stock inside. Most of it is sitting out on shelves, although some of it is in coolers. Staff was friendly, but not particularly beer knowledgable. Has a fairly strong stock of local micros, good selection of belgains, decent selection of other american micros, though not stellar. Definitely worth a stop, even if it is a bit of a drive.

This place has the largest selection of beers that I know of in the triangle. Itís hard to believe from looking at the outside of this place that youíre going to find hundreds of different beers inside. Lots of the new high gravity Belgians are here. Has good prices too.

This is honestly the best beer store Iíve been to. When I arrived, they were just unloading some of the new high-alcohol beers which have just become available in NC. From the outside the place looks like just some old convenience store with gasoline pumps and a carwash; but on the inside... beer drinkersí paradise.

Sketchy looking place. When we pulled up I had to ask my friend if this really was a good beer store. Lots of stuff inside...well, as good a selection as is allowed in a 6% state.

Well looks pretty rough from the outside, but the location is great: no more than a 2 minute walk from my appartment at Duke. You wouldnít ever think looking at it that it would have a great beer/wine selection but it sure does. Service is usually good, but depending on who is working, it can be below average (except when Magjayran is working). When the 6% law is dropped, Samís will surely be an amazing beer store.

From the outside, it looks like a typical Exxon gas station. The front of the store has the typical selection of gas station candies and soft drinks. The back of the store is dedicated to everyoneís favorite vices. A good selection of beer, wine, cigars, and cigarrettes. North Carolina just recently changed itís archaic 6% ABV limit to 15% and the good stuff is steadily rolling in. The best beer store in the state and it has a staff that actually tries most everything so that they can at least give you an opinion of the many different beers. If you respect the staff, they can be very helpful.

A good beer store given that it is on a very beer poor state. The 6% ABV limit really hampers what they can carry but they do mamnage to have quite a selection. Looks like a run down 7-11 from the outside.
