Visited March 17, 2013.
Small liquor store on the main drag in downtown. 6 or 7 doors of non macro beers, including all the classics like Chimay, Sierra Nevada, and New Belgium as well as some locals like Tap It and Figueroa Mountain. Lots of snacks and liquor too.
Only one employee writing but it was the middle of the day and all the drinks were at the bars. Can’t comment on the pricing since most of the prices were not visible.
On the edge of downtown and they have free parking, so there’s that.

Small liquor store and deli at the end of the downtown strip. Pretty decent selection for the area, but nothing that will blow your mind. Some Central Coast breweries, a handful of Belgian and German imports, too. Kind of your run of the mill liquor/convenience store vibe.

Pretty underrated IMO- this was a very solid bottle shop in downtown SLO. Lots of Port Brewing, Lost Abbey, Firestone Walker, Deschutes, some local bombers. Definitely worth a drop in if you are walking that far up Higuera St.

Decent selection of Belgians and a few oddball Central Coast locals. They sell singles of 12 ozers.

Ehhh..what can I say. Pretty slim selection when compared to other stores. The store is not very big and this is why there is a meager selection. A few gems amongst common fare can be found though. I bought a sandwich along with a Becks (yeah, I know) and that shows you how bored I was.

Worn down corner deli convenience store front that looks exactly like any other you’ll find in every neighborhood of every town I’ve ever been to in the US. We stopped in for a quick look before hopping over to Spike’s a few doors down.
The beer is all the way towards the back, past the rows of wine and liquor. A few micros can be found in the fridge, some Belgians and other imports on the shelves. Trappists, Cantillon Iris, Rosé de Gambrinus and Bio Gueuze, a few quirky Fantomes and some obscure odds and ends looked interesting enough but were a little too pricey for me, besides I was here for the local flavor, for which I was a bit disappointed, and ended up only buying one or two singles. For all the effort this place must have gone through to get their hands on Beers I didn’t see anywhere else in California, you figured they would have had some seasonal or limited edition brew by one of the many regional breweries. Or maybe I just visited on a bad day. For a native willing to invest in some good stuff, this place is pretty good, though.
Service is typical blasé dude at the cash who couldn’t care less what you buy.

Good bottle shop in downtown SLO. The prices are a touch inflated, but they’ve got some nice regional delicacies (Marin, Bison, Drakes, Northcoast 750s, etc.) There are a bunch of rare Belgians and they’ll let you mix a six. You’ll be charged for it, but you can mix it. Nevertheless, you’d be a fool to pass this place up.
