72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 adnielsen (325) Fort Collins, Colorado | January 13, 2013 Taster trays weren’t available during my visit though the bartender did offer us some free tasters. A lot of locals at the place on a Friday night. Shitters: B | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | December 15, 2012 With this rate I’ve had a beer in all 50 states plus DC since retiring from the military in 2008 - 38 states this year alone. This is the quintessential brewery tap, jast a smalll wooden bar in the brewery itself, with staff coming and going, plus some tables upstairs. Extendive choice if beers available in a flight. Extremely friendly locals and staff. Great place. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 phaleslu (316) Cincinnati, Ohio | November 28, 2012 Got here for happy hour on a weekday. Holy cow, is it in a weird spot. Out off the highway in an industrial area 15 minutes or so south of town. Production facility with a tasting room. Nice cantilevered deck and patio underneath. Small bar area so we went upstairs where the deck is outside and some games and tables are inside. Great happy hour prices and not expensive otherwise, either. Staff was okay. Seemed to be all regulars in there so we didn’t get the friendliest service. Wild variance between quality of beers, as had been my limited experience with them up to that point. Odd place but worth a stop of you have time. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Terminus (288) Las Cruces, New Mexico | July 2, 2012 VERY intersting albiet odd place located just off I-25 south of town. The night i was there, they had a band playing on the back of a flatbed trailer-pretty interesting. beer selection is pretty much all their bottled stuff on draft with a few rare ones, like a pilsner and a black ipa in bottles. prices are very good-2 buck pints on wednesdays! service is very good and friendly. good place, wish their beer was a tad better though. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 nbutler11 (305) Phoenix, Arizona | March 28, 2012 Out of the way, and with odd hours. It’s an interesting space, with a few additions to their bottled beers on tap, but I expected a bit more for their size. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Oakes (612) Savusavu, Fiji Islands | October 29, 2011 Tap room by the highway. They have concerts here, sometimes really good ones. The tap room itself is small, but with outdoor seating. Very casual, though the service is sometimes a bit rough around the edges. They are willing to pour samples, though, which is nice. Saturday at 2pm they tap a pro-am beer for "Small Batch Saturdays", worth knowing if you’re in the area. The beers are hit and miss but the sours, the IPA and the porter are all decent. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 nearbeer (165) Knoxville, Tennessee | October 18, 2011 Comfortable little roadhouse that serves some pretty good food and beer. Brewery is across the parking lot after your done, so you can pick up bottles to go. Server was good, but not too knowledgeable of the beer, which was a bit surprising. Think there was about 8 home team taps available, and they do flights. Most beers I tried were good. Prices pretty decent as well. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 3fourths (1122) Boulder, Colorado | October 15, 2011 i like these guys. southern area outside of town, couple of buildings off of I-25 and away from anyone else. small taproom / bar area with 8 beers on tap and a sour in the bottle. small batch saturdays they put pro-am things on tap. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (606) The Sunshine State, Florida | October 5, 2011 Cool place, even if the beers aren’t the best they are generally ok. Best to come on Saturday when they do their small batch beers, which are made by a set of participating homebrewers. Great concept. All in all maybe a dozen taps. Totally relaxed place, picnic tables outside, you can bring a feast and family if you want (many do). Another cool thing is that their property is shared by a small concert venue that gets some fun touring acts of different genres. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 11/20 LilBeerDoctor (215) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | July 13, 2011 This is a cozy brewpub on the outskirts of Santa Fe. There was a fair amount of outdoor seating, a very small indoor bar, and an upstairs with 2 couches, a ping pong table (sans balls however), and a foosball table. They offered the regular Sante Fe beers with a couple of seasonals. We spent our time upstairs at the foosball table, which was lots of fun, but kept me from getting a good perspective of the rest of the place. If they offered more seasonals, I would come back to this place, otherwise I don’t think so. |
