Visited June 8, 2013.
Iíve been hearing so much about this place and the last two times I was in the area they werenít open so I decided that I had to check them out (especially after gummybearscantsailís tasting of all the bottles offered by Sante Adairius). On a Saturday afternoon there were a fair amount of customers already but it was a comfortable atmosphere with a "patio" roped off outside, some barrels to use as tables, and a band playing in the parking lot.
The service was very friendly and were happy to explain some things about the beer. Unfortunately they dont do samplers/flights but they do half glasses and most of the beers are pretty good. They really only had a couple of styles present when I was there, which were the most popular ones: hoppy, farmhouse, and coffee infused. So far I think my favorites are the Berliner and the Saison Bernice (of which they had bottles for $15).
Getting here sounds more complicated than it really is. Get off of 1 and make 4 rights.

At long last, made it here. The tasting room isnít really much of one, was relegated to the outside. They had 6 beers on tap, half of which were new, and a couple bottles available (in house only on the one I really wanted). Really friendly service and pretty damn solid beers. Prices are good. Crowd was quite laid back and friendly.

Finally made it to this place, and it is worth the hype that is starting to build. Its a tiny little place, but is crowded on a Saturday afternoon. They run six taps, and most everything is in such small batches that they will only do growler fills on one of them. They donít have growlers, so bring your own. Beers are amazing, service is small town friendly, prices are cheap. No taster flights, but half pours are only 3-4$.

Such an awesome place just outside Santa Cruz, located in an industrial park. Really warm ambience, with lots of standing room outside around barrels. Very dog-friendly place as well. Beer quality is very high and the prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. All in all, just an awesome place you have to make the trip to when in San Fran / San Jose / Santa Cruz, etc.

Very chill location. Itís a business park, the brewery itself is small. decor is nice and the tap handles are wicked awesome. there are food carts and outdoors seating. beers are also pretty good and prices were average.

Nice little place, like other said, in a industrial park. Two rooms, one with bar one with tables, nothing fancy, but itís not dull either. Service was good, but in someways it would be almost deliberate to give bad service because how small it is. Beers were all good, just donít know what you find here day to day. At least two kegs kicked while I was there, but weíre replace by something else different. No food, no tpcarts or trucks, but I was there in a Tuesday afternoon so maybe no time for that. Fair prices on things and they do half pours which I like when Iím trying a new place. Overall itís a nice place to hang, locals were friendly, a bottle share broke out while I was there. Hope to here only more good things from these guys

Located in an industrial area next to the highway, this brewpub has a small bar with 3 stools and a few small tables. They are expanding into an adjacent room with more tables and a second restroom. Itís a cozy and friendly place and almost all of their beers are excellent. Lots of growler business.

Iím so glad this place is here now! Capitola has been one of our favorite places to go for years with the only negative thing beingÖno good beer! Not anymore. Word has been spreading about the amazing farmhouse and wild ales coming from SARA and for good reason. If I were to open a brewery, this is how I would do it. A very nice, small tasting room with a small section of parking lot roped off with more barrels and stools. Most of the time thereís locals sharing beers and chatting. I always meet some friendly characters here. The service is top notch. All the employees are so enthusiastic and passionate about the beers. The only negative at this point is that sometimes they run out of beer because of the small operation. That will change now that they added more tanks. You can order beers by the pint, half pint, or sample all of them. This place is worth going out of your way for.

Our second stop-off on the way down to SD. I have loved all of the beers I have had from SA so I was really looking forward to checking out their home base. We got there right after they opened and were able to snag a barrel table in the side room. It quickly filled up with lots of people, and about five dogs which was a little weird but whatever. Quality was quite high all around. Lots of nice materials used in the space and all of the beers treated with the highest of care. Service was solid. Tim greeted us as soon as we walked in, I had told him the night before at an event I was stopping in so it was a nice touch. As far as bar service, I didnít have to wait very long for my beers when I was empty. Selection was great, 8-9 beers on including a special cask. Wish I could have gotten some bottles, I guess they ran out the day before so that sucked. Prices were good all around so no problems there. Overall an awesome brewery that I would definitely make my regular choice if I lived in the area, glad we could make the side trip to check it out.
