Just loved this place. Very well staffed and comfortable. Carefully picked bottles. Easy conversation. Relaxing. Mostly local brews. Pretty much perfect.

It is a nice little bar and bottle shop with a good selection and very pleasant staff. An old school look along with some great beer.

The fact that Saraveza is walking distance from my home should be completely discounted. I couldn’t believe that a bottle shop with such impeccable taste and diversity would be so accessible to me; but I am graced by living in Portland. It is most welcome to find excellent continental brews in the partisan land of Cascadian hops-- Saraveza is my haven. But if you seek a sampling of the Northwest’s best, Saraveza will never let you down as they are a strong suit. While my spouse prefers such beer experiences steeped in hopiness, I stock up on the excellent Tripels and Bourbon barrel Quads that Saraveza has available -- my bonafide beer haven. While I am partisan to Pasties, as I loved when my mother baked them when was a child, they are a surprising bonus specialty of Saraveza’s kitchen. Portland has many gems, and Saraveza stands out among them. I am so lucky to be a few blocks away.

Attended the Double IPA festival in July. Nice selection of beers available. Service was ok at this event. Really didn’t like that the drinks were served in plastic beakers as it negatively affects the flavour of the beer. Oh well.

Came here for IIPA fest with 21 rotating taps of IIPAs. Obviously not a typical feel for the place at this event, but the event was well-run. $25 to admit 2, which includes 16 4 oz. samples was a very good deal. I would’ve appreciated a better glass (than a shitty plastic cup), and some of the kegs seemed a bit off (giving that metallic feel), but all in all a great event. Also a nice selection of 200 or so beers to take to go.

A fabulous little pub and bottle shop this is an excellent addition to the neighborhood. Whether stopping in for a pint or grabbing some specialty bottles to go this place is great.

I heard about this place form a great Beer Blogger so I had to stop. Off the Max I walked like 3 blocks and when I went in wow I was surprised. It was Milwaukee Wisconsin - Schlitz memorabilia and Rainer and Oly all over the place. Every big beer from our long long beer past. 500 different bottles 10 taps and good food this was a great place to start my OBF weekend off with. This is a must stop for any Beer Geek.
