Ambiance - My first ever experience of a Zoigl-stube and it was a nice one. Small outdoors garden-like serving area located on a very small street in a small German village fairly close to the Czech border. Beutiful setting in the sunny weather with plenty of garden flowers. Very relaxing!
Service - Prompt!
Selection - only one beer but it was a good one!
Food - Did not eat.
Value - Extremely fair. About €2 for 500 ml Zoigl.
Additional comments - Lovely beer culture experience.

My first visit to a Zoiglstube. You find this place on a small street and first it looks like you are coming to someones house. But once you gets there, you can see that there are quite a few seats. Some locals visited when we got there on a Sunday afternoon. Only one beer available of course, but it was quite nice. We had a good relaxing time in the sun.

Down a small lane from the main street. Looks like a typical German house from the outside. Nice homey room with small plates available. Another great place in Windischeschenbach.

On a small side street off one of the main roads through WEBach. It is a modern looking house, but the interior is in style and cosy. Good service, great food, and the Zoigl is very good too, usually tends towards the citrussy-hoppy.

Tucked away down a side street, you’re basically drinking in someone’s house - either the foyer inside or the courtyard next to the car port. Hops grow on the side of the house. Just as packed as Schafferhof, but not quite as jovial an atmosphere. I seem to recall waiting ages for a beer, which is a bit weird seeing as they only have one type and I doubt they did food. Beer was really good, as you’d expect. Cool place, but not as memorable as Schafferhof.
