15th July 2014, opened at two, I walked in at ten past and instantly liked the place. I though it a Cowboy meets the Ocean sort of bar, all wood and seaside. Long bar in the first room with a stage and lounge area to the left, Brian (the bar tender) showed me around as I was the only customer for the first half hour or so. I liked the little corner that was half outside, half inside. Live music is a big thing here and although no band was on the semi-glam Rock music was belting out of the speakers the whole time I was there. Chalk board style beer list to the right of the bar with a decent selection, mostly local brews but different to what I have come across during this holiday. I had beers from Drakes, Beach City and firestone. They have one hand pump but it is used to dispense Jamesonís Irish Whisky. The best place on the Orange County coast I have visited so far and that includes the Seal Beach Beachwood BBQ joint.

Decent tap list, although prices were a bit on the high side. Most taps seemed to be from California. Interesting interior to say the least: somewhere between a dive bar and Neptuneís Net. I didnít look at the food menu nor the cocktail menu, so I cannot comment. Service was okay. Parking was easy during the day/early afternoon. A decent stop in an otherwise sleepy little beach town.

Dive bar feel, but certainly not the corresponding prices. Pretty damn good tap list, all California brewed beers. Fancy/hip cocktails served at $10 a pop, but I guess thatís not shocking. Nautical themed interior, not surprisingly. Service here was awful. I was briefly acknowledged after sitting down at the bar and told someone would be right with me and then waited for the bartender to serve and joke with several other patrons who came in noticeably after Iíd already sat down.
