Located just off the Market with its beautiful City Hall, this place is, well, possibly your only chance of getting a nom-macro on tap. Dark interior, mediocre food and not very impressive beer, but go there to get Bremen ticks at a popular price.

Central brauerei in Bremen that not worth a visit at all. Poor selection, and two home beers that are nothing special. Neither the service was nice. Didnt try the food. Hope this is not the best place in the city. A poor image for the tourists..

After eventually finding this venue I been back several times as in the town centre so easy to get to. However service is always well below par... slow and rude on more than 1 occasion... But I go for the beer! The dunkel is above average but the hell varies between average and superb (luck of the draw!)

This place has a cozy beer cellar and is located in the very center of Bremen. There are two house beers, which are both okay, but they have no seasonals. The beers were very cheap at my visit as I had come across their happy hour which is every day 17.00 - 20.00, where 20 cl costs you a flat euro. The food looked god, but we didn’t eat. The service was okay, but nothing more.

Visited in January 2011 for a quick spot of food and a couple of beers on the way to the airport. City centre location 2 or 3 minutes walk from public transport.
Multi level bar, typical new age brauhaus format, we were in the smaller darker keller style area.
2 beers avaialble, Helles and Dunkels.
Both reasonable efforts, but nothing to write home about - if a stop off here is convenient make it, if not don’t go out of your way!
Food was good, I had the ’knippe’ a local delicacy which is simialr to haggis in some respects.
The jumbo curry wurst was huge !
Atmosphere was ok - Sunday lunchtime so not that busy, I imagine it would be different of an evening!

This is my favorite place in Bremen (and I live here). Unfortunately this was a fire in an adjacent parking facility so they are closed for a few months, but they reopen July 12, 2012. The beer is a downright bargain in my opinion. Quite an easy drink, not too hoppy or anything. They only have two beers on tap... dark and light. Both are good. During their happy hour, which is quite long (5-8pm) during which, beers are 1 euro per 0.2 L. The food here also very good for pub fare in my opinion. Pretty much everything is around 10 euros for massive portions. You can also get stuff for around 5 or 6 euros like sandwiches and currywurst I think, but everything is a big portion. By the way, I do not work there, but really just enjoy the place.

Average brewpub with a below average beer on sale. Wouldn’t bother re-visiting.

Quite a dark place with long tables and benches; space for ca. 200 persons. Large variety of dishes for a reasonable price. Only two types of beer: light and dark. Specialty: you can order a 10 l beer barrel for tapping beer yourself at the table. Prices (as of 2011/12/28): 0.2 l €1.70, 0.4 l €3.40, 1.0 l €7.50, 1.5 l €10.90, 10 l €66.50

Very centraly located in Bremen, which makes nearby parking difficult and a bit pricy. Weird place - from the very start - the front is nothing like a brewpub - more like a club entrance - and down you go to a weird place - cave like and dark with alcoves with tables of warrying quality and lengths. Looks more like a place to get drunk than a place to enjoy quality beers, but their two house beers are not bad - it is afterall Germany.

18.01.2010. This brewpub is situated in the heart of the old town in Bremen, and is therefor very easy to visit when you are in Bremen. The pub is a classical old style german bar with everything is wooden. The selection of beers is only 2, the Hell and the Dunkel. Maybe they should have a little broader selection? The guy behind the bar was very helpfull and I even got to bay a glass for my collection. In the bar there is a little selection of beer stuff from the brewery you can buy.
