(Visited 02/2012): Scotty’s is located in Muncie right by Ball State University on the corner of University and North Martin. There is a cramped lot behind the building and street parking.
The inside is open with brick and lots of windows facing the street. The bar is near the entrance and the rest of the space is restaurant seating, primarily high tables. Decor includes gas lamps, neon and kegs. There is also a board listing beers.
Scotty’s has about 25 beers available on tap including regional microbrews like Three Floyds, Founders, Flat 12, Boulevard and Bells. I did not note bottles. They have growlers too.
Service on a relatively slow weekend lunch was good. Our server was familiar with the beer options and friendly.
Food at Scotty’s is mostly pub grub. Our sandwiches were good.
Overall this place is definitely on the chain side and doesn’t have the charm of a spot like Heorot but is worth a stop to grab a bite and a solid craft brew.
