Stopped in for lunch and tried a couple of brews. Not a vast selection of beers, but none the less a neat part of the city. Food was very good, made up for the lack of beer selection.

Seamus McDaniel’s is a great place to get some beers on the patio and kill time in Dogtown. However, it is not a great place for beer geeks. You’ll get a couple Boulevard taps (Pale Ale and Wheat), some Sam Adams, and then a bunch of BMC stuff and Irish macros. The food is hearty and good. The service is spotty; sometimes super friendly and other times slow and inaccurate if you catch some overworked waitress on a crowded patio day. Honestly, this is a good neighborhood staple but it shouldn’t be listed under beer places here.

Home of the 10 oz Black Angus burger (for $6.95). A couple of Boulevards on tap. Other craft beers. Some macros. A decent selection. I found a beer on tap I had not rated. And another I hadn’t rated until the night before.
