Nice modern looking brewpub with all the main Sebago beers on tap. It attracts a pretty young and professional crowd (well as young and professional as it gets in little ol’ Portland). I maybe went in twice in the two years I lived in town.

Service was very good and the atmosphere is pretty cool...i could watch a game here. Food was decent...my seafood chowder lacked sefood for the most part but it tasted good...pork dumplings were great. The beer was gutter...just awful.

Modern location away from the smell of seafish, and close to the public parking garage. A little noisy and buzy at suppertime, it wasn’t too bad. A large bar, a comfortable spot (fortunately) and a moderate sized patio if you want it. Their product line is average, but there is usually something interesting on, this night a cask dry hopped citra IPA. People were happy with the food, and beer was ordered by all but secondary.

August 2011. Boy, that photo is dated. Sebago moved into a new location this summer, a block from the water in the new Hampton Inn. Standard American brewpub in every way, from beer selection to menu (didn’t sample the food). Nothing to rave about here, but sturdy enough in every category, with 5-7 Sebago beers to choose from.

Visited in April 2010. Modern interior. Pretty standard US brewpub look with something of a sports bar feel. Handy Old Port location. Seven Sebago beers on tap - pretty solid, especially in the upper ABV registers, but not spectacular. Difficult to judge the ambience as it was virtually empty when we visited mid-afternoon on a Thursday. Didn’t eat. Definitely worth a look if you are in the vicinity but not a must visit.

A typical US brewpub in downtown Portland. 2 floors...we were seated in the basement floor, which is quite big and 1990s looking. Excellent deals on appetizers after 9, methinks, half price, quite tasty and generous. The beers range from OK to quite good. A good place to visit while in portland.

Food is yucky and generic. Beer selection sucks. Not a fan at all.

Yet another spotless pub with too much of a sports bar/franchise feel to it with. Too clean, too many TV screens. Not warm. From what I understood they always have the same five beer on tap with one seasonal, two if you happen to be there in-between two seasonals. Food is above average pub greasy food at standard price. Beer is so-so at best. Service is cute girls who know nothing about beer. You get the picture. Worth a visit? Not really.

The uninspiring façade of this Sebago pub and restaurant thankfully got forgotten once inside, where a typical, comfortable pub and restaurant feel dominated from bar to dining room. The long bar with tall windows looking onto the street is particularly nice. They’ve got their basic brews on tap here and a few seasonals as well, which were the hefeweizen and the double IPA when I visited. The mushroom ravioli with blue cheese sauce I had were good, if not drowning in sauce, and the beers were all clean and drinkable, save for the overly brash Double IPA. That being said, I would probably come back once in a while if I were living in Portland, but with Novare Res a few blocks away, I’m afraid this visiting Canadian will not come back to Sebago’s often.
