Sebago is located on the ground level of Hampton Inn, convenient to the downtown walking area. The food was average pub fare with a local flare. There were a couple of special release beers on, but we had just missed the cask beer. Friendly service.

Dated review, but I would say every time I’ve been here, I’d say this was a pretty good place. Only their beers, and I can understand that. Food is always very good. Servers know what they’re doing to suggest certain beers with certain foods. Decent value for the Portland area. I’d go back if I had the chance.

The interior is a bit......odd, too bright and airy but not comfortable feeling...it will never be confused for that well worn neighborhood place which one feels at home, too inner city (but perhaps that is proper in that area, just not my style). Our waitress was quite friendly and outgoing, well versed with the area and easy to converse with. The food was fairly well done, higher inner city prices. Did the beer sampler and was pleasantly surprised......the Sebago rye beers were well done as was a low alcohol whisky aged stout and a quite adequate IPA.

A rather bland corporate feeling place connected to a Hampton Inn. Food I had was mediocre and menu was generally uninteresting, particularly compared to some of the great restaurants nearby. The seasonal IPA I had was quite good, but did not have a chance to sample a variety. Would go back for the beers but skip the food and it is not really a place that invites you to hang out for an afternoon. Service was friendly and efficient.

The ambiance here is pretty weak. Feels like a family restaurant built in a hotel lobby. Food is not so great either. I actually really like their flagship IPA, but otherwise find their beers lacking. Not really worth your time with so much better options in the city. Grab. A sixer of Frye’s Leap at a bottle shop and hit Infiniti.

Came here with Kramer, JDadmond, Pw3nd in between sessions of The Festival in Portland. Well lit, open, very family friendly sort of place. If In’finiti is the nice restaurant you take your date for an anniversary, then Sebago is the greasy spoon diner you go to when you just need to be fed. The beer and food aren’t fancy, but they’re good priced well and generously portioned. The staff here was great and we ended up with more food and beer than we possibly needed for a lot less money than we’d expected. Wouldn’t be at the top of my list of places to go if you only have a day in Portland, but it’s worth a stop if you have a few days.

This place had a chain-like feel to it. service was quick and friendly. Food was OK but not exciting, and the beers were similar. Convenient, anyway.

I had a pretty atypical experience here, as part of a beer bloggers conference beer pairing event. But the staff was great, the engagement with us was fantastic, and the pairings were inspired. I had a lot of fun. Special bonus points: outlets just under the bar so that you could recharge your phone/tablet/laptop.

Very decent place. The ambiance might be somewhat sterile but I found the beers to be, overall, above average. Friendly staff, average prices. They have a range of core beers and then a handful of seasonals. Eight different beers available on my visit. Nice range of styles, too. Location is fairly central. Worth popping by.

Sebago has a very stock chain-brewpub type ambiance and is located underneath a Holiday Inn. I wasn’t expecting much from the beers as I sat at the half-full bar among businessmen, but I have to say that the IPA and stout at least were very, very good. Service was friendly and I had a cup of chowder which was pretty decent.
