This is one of the most unique and best beer bars I have ever been to. I have to say though that beyond the selection (which I will say is better bottle-wise than tap-wise), the service was the best part. The bartender when we were there was super friendly and helpful and dug out some really unique stuff based on our interests and showed us around the place. Can’t wait to go back.

Visited later in the afternoon on a Tuesday. As stated by others, this place is not well marked at all, there was a very small label on the door that says Sergio’s. Upon entering, there is beer pretty much cluttered everywhere, with a bar right as you enter. Beer is in coolers throughout the place, tucked away in every corner, in part of the kitchen, pretty much anywhere they can stick beer they do. The selection is immense, with a few gems (I saw a Bells 900 and a $35 Bud Light). Draft selection was extensive, featuring a wide variety of styles. The back room has quite a few tables, and the food menu was huge (though I didn’t eat). Service was pretty aloof, though this place is mostly about you digging around on your own beer adventure. Only drawback was that single prices seemed really high ($5 for a Founder’s All Day IPA, for example). Weird place, tons of character, certainly a must hit in Louisville.

Wow. Little cluttered and not organized, but that can be fun as you search cooler after cooler. Draft selection is great ans bartender was friendly. A must visit bar. Cash only was strange. Dont mistake the bar next door for Sergio’s.

If you love beer and are in Louisville you have to check out Sergio’s. Amazing selection and almost everything cold, only some bottle conditioned beers are on a warm shelf. Coolers and fridges are spread around the place. Great draft selection including the new Trappist beer Gregorius when I was there. Search for some treasures and enjoy!

Anyone that considers himself to be a serious beer enthusiast would have a field day in this place. It is difficult to identify from the outside, only marked by a collage of world flags. Once inside it looks like a pretty chill place. There are three beer coolers crammed into a room with a bar that features some very, very high quality taps. I picked up a bomber of FFF Rye Da Tiger and proceeded to the back room when I realized I had only seen not even half the bottle selection. There is a walk in Belgian cellar in a addition to four more stacked coolers with rarities abound. I was weary of the age of some of the stuff, but plenty of it was fresh or intended to mature. The ambiance in here is like sitting in a friend’s house, if your friend is a serious beer geek. Drinking a FFF while combing through the catacombs of bottles was totally awesome in my book.

This was definitely an interesting place. Don’t let the macro bar with the Miller Lite signs fool you, Sergio’s is next door and is unmarked except for the stree number. Inside is chock full of beer. Very small and mellow crowd on a Sunday night. Staff was fantastic, although Sergio was nowhere to be found. Tap selection was solid, and included things not found elsewhere in the city. The bottle selection was - well - massive. Who needs wallpaper when you have beer coolers? They go on forever. Just when you thought you saw the last cooler, you turn the corner and there are two more. Amazing place.

Wonderful staff, large selection. Tucked away, but easily located. Food is okay, but the salsa is fantastic. Staff is very knowledgable and willing to help your buddies find something among the giant selection. Always enjoy going there. Cash only.

Hmm, Sergio’s… what can I say. This is one of the best things about ratebeer, finding places like this. If you can find it that is, no sign but look for the address. Inside the place is a dump, but in that best friends crappy apartment kind of way, you really kind of feel at home here. Long bar upfront with random coolers throughout the place. The service was outstanding, Cory is the man, he not only is a beer aficionado but also gave us out-of-towners some great advice for things to do in the area. Locals were truly awesome too, great beer brings in great people. Selection of beers was insane, huge tap list including beers they’ve been cellaring since 2004, tons of bottles too. You wouldn’t think this place had good food but on the recommendation of some locals we got the ceviche and we weren’t disappointed. Value is great on draft beers but seemed high on most bottles and really high on others but it makes sense to keep inventory around. This is one of those places you have to go, drive a few hours out of your way if you have to. Great experience.

... i came from los angeles, to visit family ...i attempted to find sergios place... me as-well stepped into the bar to the left of his building ...huge mistake, rude ignorant drunks that dont care for outsiders.....went next door (the windows are covered in flags)...and was not expecting what was behind that door.....SERGIO is AWESOME....i will gladly drive 2,000 miles just to visit again....His knowledge and Selection Is one of the Greatest in the World...seriously....an endless amount of bottles Rare and Common....not to mention TRY THE CEVICHE...lol i was treated like a best friend ...and cant be thankful enough .........IF YOUR ANYWHERE WITHIN THIS AREA ITS A MUST AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED ....CHEERS SERGIO...!!!
