48 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 8/20 JCB (174) Durham, North Carolina | April 29, 2013 Makes sense that this is a Gordon Biersch joint I suppose. Generic suburban strip-mall location, generic suburban "family fare" feel to the place, with beer added. Seemed like a convivial crowd, although I felt the fear and loathing rather strongly. Service was quite spotty, taps were pretty basic and underwhelming, and the lone beer I did try was not very good. Admittedly, not the most comprehensive data on which to base a rating, but I was there for the better part of an hour so there you go. | 48 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 TURDFERGUSON (147) Carrboro, North Carolina | March 4, 2013 Visited as part of the RBWG bus tour. Was feeling especially cashed at this point in the tour so I did not consume any beer here. Also heard and just by looking at it in the pitchers knew that I was not missing much besides a tick. Would not return. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 aobecksy (21) Middle of no where, Ohio | March 3, 2013 This was a cold and a disappointing stop at the RBWG2013. Staff couldn’t be bothered with us. | 44 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 GT2 (341) Riverslime, California | March 1, 2013 Lived in Jacksonville for 18 years and never went here except once, before I was 21. Now here we are for RBWG, not sure why we stopped here instead of spending more time at Engine 15. The tap list is small, pretty much their corporate beer recipes on tap which are aliased to god knows how many brewpubs and other Gordon Biersch establishments. Beer quality was low for a brewpub, nothing I would say was worth drinking. Ambiance was dull, dead, depressing. Diners looked like they had all just been fired and divorced. Would not come back. Bartender was snappy to my fiancee, so there you go. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 decaturstevo (102) decatur, Tennessee | February 28, 2013 A good beer selection from a chain. Pool tables in the back which are free(rare to find anything for free). Staff very friendly and accomidating. Nice bar area as well. | 56 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 Sledutah (207) Utah | February 26, 2013 4th stop of the RBWG bus tour. Big restaurant and a pool room. The decor was dated and seemed dirty. Beer was decent. Didn’t eat. | 56 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 SpringsLicker (120) Tennessee | February 25, 2013 Pretty much a copy of Big River in Chattanooga. Chain brewpub. Solid if not exciting beers. Decent food for Pub grub. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 jbruner (56) Tallahassee, Florida | February 25, 2013 What you would expect from a chain brewpub; a little more inviting than Gordan Biersch though. Pool tables is where I spent my time, and they were free! Service was decent, bartenders were curt but the nrewer came out and talked to us. Only tried their beers, which is all I think they have besides macro swill. Didn’t try the food, value was pretty good, their beers were about worth the price. Not a bad place to stop; try the brewer’s reserve. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 mlunger12 (46) Orlando, Florida | February 24, 2013 Visited at RBWG. Typical chain brewpub. Bartenders were distant and cold. Beer wasn’t terrible though. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 aracauna (65) Georgia | February 24, 2013 Pretty typical of a chain brewpub. There’s nothing wrong with the beer, but it’s boring. Good service, though. |
