A lovely pub with an excellent selection of both casks and bottles. Thornbridge usually have a few beers available here and itís a place that almost makes you wish for your train to be delayed!

Visited this pub on numerous occasions. Although impressive building I find the beer quality very changeable, namely due to the cellar being very small and the huge demand for beer resulting in young, green beer very often. Bottle range is impressive but very expensive. Many mediocre hand pumped beer too often for me

Nice place and excellent location for visitors. I started and finished my day trip here. Plenty of cask and a few keg too. Large selection of bottles in fridges behind the bar, but didnít see a bottle list anywhere. Loads of tables in various little rooms. Could be easy to miss your train.

A great choice of quality cask, keg and bottled beers in nice surroundings. A must visit if in Sheffield. Now brew their own beer too, some of which are excellent. Still does several guest beers.

Another railway station refurbishment. Great selection of beers in cask, on tap and bottled. Full range of Thornbridge beers and many guests. Located on Platform 1 of Sheffield railway station

A nice station bar with an exceptional range of beers. The Sheffield Tap isnít as grand as, say, the York Tap (another excellent station pub) but itís a nice place - a narrrow room with tiled walls, a green and white vaulted ceiling and arched windows facing onto platform 1b. (Visited 21 October 2013).

Very nice bar near the Sheffield train station. Large selection of beers on tap and bottle selection as well. Definitely worth a visit.

The Tap is more or less my local. I like it a lot and endeavour to encourage others to visit. However, it isnít actually as good as it thinks it is! The problem is the low standard of housekeeping. Dirty tables, uncollected glasses and (sometimes very) slow service are a standard feature. Bars on stations are subject to punters arriving, and leaving, en masse. The management donít seem to have sussed how to best cope with this yet. That said, itís one of the best bars you could hope to visit. Just so long as you visit at the right time of day.

Great refurbishment of a classic train station pub. Obviously very convenient in location! Inside it is actually quite large with traditional features, restored with a contemporary edge. Itís now also home to the Tapped Brew Co, which are located in the adjoining room. As with the other "Tap" outposts the beer selection is great, plenty of interesting casks, kegs and bottles from a whole variety of modern beer. Perhaps a tad expensive for the location, but not for someone used to London. The must-visit destination in Sheffield.
