Impressive selection, the best I’ve seen in Edmonton so far. Beers are kept in a walk in cooler and loosely arranged by style. Lots of singles, bombers and 750s as well as 4 and 6 packs, gifpacks with glassware, as well as your usual selection of mainstream products and a few ciders. Single bottles from broken six packs are also available if you need some ticks. New beers arrive almost every week, this is your best place to look for new beers. Prices are sometimes higher here than other stores, but you’re paying for the selection. Hit or miss finding staff that are knowledgeable enough about the beer, at least to the level a ratebeer member might appriciate. Also has a good selection of wines if you’re into that. Worth seeking out.

2015-06-05. It is an interesting commentary that the two top rated places in Edmonton at the time of this entry are the two bottle shops. Staff varies from a bit disinterested to super helpful. I am glad for example that I asked about Tilquin, since I was then shown the list of newly arrived bottles of Cantillon! (Which doubled the cost of my purchases! D’oh!) Prices on the most interesting stuff is often expensive, but I’m told in line with other places. The one bottle for which I did a price comparison was Boulevard which was $21 here, and $20 at DeVine. I did not care for the organization by style since I meant for example that I found De Molen or Mikkeller products in several places, which made it laborious to look things up. Bring a sweater if you plan to browse! I took long enough in the giant walk in fridge that I just about froze in pants and a t-shirt :) Only certain 4-packs/6-packs can be split up. I balked at a few hoppy things that had no dates since I had no way of knowing how old they were since I am not from Edmonton. The selection of imports was significantly better than the Alberta options overall. I suspect perhaps the better AB bottles are limited releases? Overall this was well worth a visit. Impressive selection overall. As good or better than Premier Gourmet in Buffalo which is my most local comparison. Like other stores with this many bottles, some date stickers would let you shop with more confidence.

Best bottle shop in Edmonton and probably Western Canada. Everything is stored in a big walk-in fridge and sorted by style. Fantastic array of imports, both from Europe and the US, many of which I didn’t see at other stores. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. There’s a growler station too, but the selection was pretty unexciting on my visit. If you’re only going to visit one bottle shop in town, make it this one.

The taxi driver kind of snickered when I asked him to take me here, as if all liquor stores in the Edmonton area are alike. Not so for this one - this is easily one of the best selections I’ve seen on the planet. Well organized, all of the beers pre-chilled in a walk-in freezer, huge selection. Prices aren’t great but there are rarities here which you won’t find for thousands of kilometres in any direction. And they post RateBeer stats beside select beers. Worth a trip to Edmonton just to come here for beer shopping.

Definitely the best selection of beers I’ve seen in Canada. Three times as much as the best place in Calgary and ten times as much as the best place in Winnipeg. A hole in the wall in suburbia, but a fantastic selection including Cantillon and loads of good European, American and Canadian craft beer.

A wall of great selection, staff are knowledgeable, the prices can be a little more than other places, but still fair.

Winner of the 2013 Chuggy Award for Best Bottle Shop in #yeg. Wicked beer room that’s never the same twice. Unbeatable for selection in the city.
