used to go here for years when I lived in Lexington - decent selection with great location. The BYO six packs selection is flat out weak.

This place is closed and is now the Liquor Barn Express, a tiny version of Liquor Barn that sometimes will surprise you.

This is a hidden gem in Lexington. Its located in a strip mall, between campus and a residential area. The macro beer is featured prominently here, but there is also a small selection of micros kept cold, along with a few shelves for imports and a nice long section for American micros. This is the spot to go in town if you are looking for something that has been long gone from the shelves at Liquor Barn. They usually have the stone special releases long after anywhere else. You’re not going to get a lot of attention here, as the staff is just too busy standing at the registers to get out and chat with folks to see if they need help. I had a nice experience with one of the managers one time I was there, so he saves them from being lower in service. I stop here once a month or so just to see if there is anything I’ve missed or need to round up for a trade. Its going to be out of the way for people who don’t live here, but if you are searching for a diamond in the rough, you might just find it here.
