Large store packed with beers, all available as singles. Prices are OK. Emphasis is on Michigan stuff, but there are unusual finds from near and far. Helpful and friendly staff. Decent enough prices.

Located West of town. I loved the smell of this place... cigars, tea, coffee, homebrewing malts. Very nice. Beer is the name of the game here as the selection dwarfs the wine. Tons of American micros, a good foreign selection and local brews are very well represented. The place is small so there’s a lot of twists and turns and there’s beer everywhere you turn. Good selection of sake and mead. Prices seemed slightly above average but this is the only Michigan store I’ve been to so I really don’t know. They were certainly reasonable. Parking looked like it could get tricky. The people working there were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended store.

West of downtown Grand Rapids on main road with easy parking in the front. Small location with big beer selection and brewing supplies. Freindly staff with good knowledge of beers and were willing to look at my want list and help. I did find six new beers. I will now stop every time I am in the GR area.

Super cool little beer store a few miles away from Grand Rapids center. Local Michigan breweries are obviously very well represented and also a lot of other American micros and imports. What really makes this one stand out is how knowledgeable and helpful the two persons on location were (I suspect one was the owner). We talked beer, beer events, beer scene, etc. The store isn’t very big but since real beer-lovers handle the store there are no turkeys in there. It kind of reminded me of West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago in the sense that this is a small beer-lovers store ran by beer-lovers and the selection is kick-ass despite the below average size of the store. Highly recommended.

Ventured over here one of the mornings of RBSG. Not a huge place, but it does what it does very well. Nicely compartmentalized areas of beers, wines, tobacco, and homebrew, winemaking, cheesemaking supplies. I had read in advance that they had cheesemaking supplies and got all excited figuring I’d bring some back to NY with me and make some cheese, but alas it’s all cold and needs to remain so. Which meant 3-4 more days of living in coolers in the car wasn’t a great idea for the cultures. Staff here was quite helpful and made me feel very welcome. Nice selection of out of state stuff, but the in-state selection was amazing. Tons of locals and a very big push to promote Michigan beers. Worth the stop.

Pretty much what everyone else said. Lots of beer, but it’s shoehorned into a store a few sizes too small. Decent selection of singles and seemingly beer around every corner. Also other fun stuff like cigars, coffee, home brewing and some wines as well.

I almost skipped this one despite the recommendations, but I’m glad I made the short trip off the Interstate. The selection was great, particularly for Michigan breweries. The best find was several bottles of Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock. Everything is offered in singles.

I visited here while driving through town. A tiny little store that packs a lot of goodies. Once you get past the cigar shop, you see open cases of all types of bombers. They also have a very good selection of singles with lots of them in their coolers. A great beer store that far exceeded my expectations as I picked up lots of new stuff.

Stopped in here during RBSG. Pretty crazy spot with the walls lined with beer, tobacco, coffee, tea and homebrew supplies. They also have a limited wine and liquor selection, but you really just come here for beer. Everything is available for singles and they do get all the Shorts and Kuhnhenn stuff, as well as a nice range of local hard to finds. Excellent bottle shop, one of the best I’ve been to.

Great bottle shop. A nice variety of bottles refrigerated and on the shelf. You can break up any packs which is nice, plus a good amount of rarer stuff. Excellent shop, wish it was near me. Also offered some other coffee, cooking, and brewing items.
