A ton of individual beers! A bit disorganized and drab which discourages long visits. Out-of-the-way for a SE side resident.

This is a very nice store. It is a beer store as well as a homebrew shop. I only looked at the homebrew for a moment, but it looked like they had a decent selection as ingredients and equipment. The beer selection was very pleasing and the 2 guys running the store were very knowledgeable about the different beers when I asked them question. A definate must see if your in the area.

A beer store as well as a homebrew store. One of the better bottle stores I’ve been in. Good selection of local stuff, vast array of US microbrews, decent selection of imports/belgains. They will split anything, but there is no need as there are huge coolers with single bottles of most everything they carry. Also one of the better homebrew stores I’ve been in. A good selection of speciality malts and equipment, and one of the few places I’ve seen that has a good selection of kegging equipment, including CO2 cylinders, etc. Stop here if you are even close to Grand Rapids.

Quality was very good. All of the local stuff seemed to be really fresh. Looked as though things flowed off of the shelves pretty well. Most selections were on open air shelves, and available refrigerated. The staff that were working while I was there were very helpful. They made some very good suggestions after I let them know what style I like, and even pulled some beers out of the back for me. After being in Nebraska the beer selection was almost overwhelming. They had a very good selection of the local brews; Bell’s, Founders, New Holland, etc. They also carry DFH, Victory, Unibroue, Great Divide, Avery, and most of the Rogues. Their Import selection is also very good, with many Belgian beers to choose from. They also have a homebrew supply section, but I was to distracted by the beer selection to pay much attention. Siciliano’s will definitely be a must stop any time I’m in Michigan.

I always stop out at Siciliano’s when I head out to the lake. They have a great selection of Michigan brews. The import selection is notable, also. Quite a bit of homebrew supply. Their tobacco is also worth mentioning.

was cool that they had everything broken down into singles, but the selection wasnt insane, the presence of home brewing materials was definitely a plus

Updated 29 September 2006: I have been a regular at Siciliano’s since 2002 and have watched this store quickly grow to become the best beer store in Grand Rapids, hands down. Since 2002 there has been a massive expansion of the Belgian beer selection (mostly since 2004), one of the few weaknesses Siciliano’s had compared to other Grand Rapids specialty beer stores. In addition, the increase in availability of prominent U.S. microbrewers in Michigan since 2002, including Dogfish Head, Victory, and soon Stone, has greatly improved the selection here. Still an excellent place for Michigan microbrews, but now so much more. And, as somebody who has only dabbled with homebrewing, I can’t comment on that aspect of the store, but it is an added bonus. Quality service is the norm; the owner and several of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and excited about craft beer. Pair a trip to Founders with a visit to Sicilianos for the best beer scene Grand Rapids has to offer.
