Downer: lack of cask ale - at least in my experience. Upper: great selection of ale and the food is first rate.

for known fine ale maker-i didnít feel the food was up to par. hard to find a place that makes both fine ale and fine eats.

forgot one thing. They have booths with sliding benches. You sit down and rotate the bench for the next person. Its really niffty.

Pretty impressed, even if Iím not entirely a huge fan of their beers. The place is beautiful, though the bar should be bigger. Our waitress was spot-on, not having to write down anything we wanted for an order of 5, including beers and food and 5 other tables to boot. Service was fast, the food was good and the 15 beer sample platter was pretty fun to rip through. Got to have a glass of BA Bigfoot, which was the real treat of the day. Nice gift shop and quick brewery tour. Recommended, even if not a big fan of the beers. Iíll definitely return when back in the area. Also notable is that youíll get to try several of their offerings you wonít try in any other pub or store.

Good selection of beers. Excellent, outdoor beer garden complete with overhead "misting" system for hot, desert days. Nice gift shop. Good appetizers. Iím not a big fan of their beers, but they must have had twelve or more on tap when I visited.

Visited here in September of í05 and actually went out of my way on the way up to Redding to get here - worth the trip. Had an excellent lunch of pizza and about a half dozen or so half pints of on tap brews only available at the brewery. Our waiter turned out to be our tour guide - very friendly and knowledgeable enough - and would admit if he did not know an answer to a question - refreshing! Tours are only given once a day though - 2:00 I believe. The decor of the restaurant was nice, very airy and clean. Patio seating was available and there is a tasting bar available if you are just interested in drinking. The locals apear to love the place - as I would if I live din Chico. A must visit if anywhere near the area

What a great place to get some of the best beers available and some great tasting food. They have an excellent beer sampler with 14 different beers. They had a few different years of Bigfoot on tap which was amazing. They also have a great giftshop that sells cases and cool merchandise. Hope to get back some day soon.

By far the best place I visited on my beer tour to San Fran and back. Once I finally found hwy 99 (Sacremento needs better signs to go north) it was a quick jaunt into Chico. Very large place that was quite crowded. I sat at the bar right in front of 7 taps there was another 7 a little further down plus 2 behind the bar. The service was fabulous. Ordered food and ask for something to be omitted, when the bartendress realized that there was some in the salad she came running out to say not to eat it (the salad that is). Iím glad that freinds said that I had to detour to visit here. I will definately keep making the side trip to Chico every time I get to CA.

Wonderful beer, very good food and a great tour. Was here on a Monday (they are closed then), so had to return the next week on the way back.
