Cool little place a little more laid back than some other places. Nice tap selection and friendly service. Good live music. Iíd prefer spend more time hanging out here then say Fitgers really.

irish vibe seems a bit forced but not totally lacking in authenticity. tap selection was weak at best, except for the two hearted. the bartender told me that outsells everything else by far, easy to see why considering its weak competition in the place. rather then boring old shaker pints, looks like they invested in a few cases of the sam adams turbulator glasses which is pretty cool. menu looked interesting though i didnt eat, but i think next time im in town i will. worth checking out since its just a hop/skip/jump from fitgers.

Historic and full of ambiance. I happened to stumble on this place when they had a celtic band playing. The beers on tap are excellent, although for the life of me I canít remember what I had. It has the old feel of a tavern in Wales - definitely a must see!

This is a historic and quaint place to visit while in Duluth. Several times a week wonderful folk and celtic music prevails featuring excellent local musicians! Pull up a chair near the wood stove and warm up on a snowy January evening or stop by on a warm July day for a sandwich on their famous pumperknickel or rye bread, and dont forget the dark beemish, stout, porter, or dunkel in a frosty mug! The seating is cozy and the view incredable! Lake Superior is beautiful under the umbrella on the patio or by a delicate snowfall in December through the frosted windows!

Had a sandwich that basically sucked here. Overpriced. Full bottle selection of what you can get in Duluth. Row of about twelve taps although half of them werenít in use. Cool to see everyone drinking Two Hearted Ale.

A cozy tavern overlooking the lake, right across from Fitgers. They have a great variety of comercial beer, better than any I can think of in the Twin Cities. The food was good, but itís definitely plain pub fare and for that, itís expensive. Overall the better bet is to go across the street to Fitgers, but if you fancy a Bells Kalamzoo Stout, sandwich, and patio overlooking Superior, this is your spot.

The reason I added this place is because itís a popular hang out for a decent crowd and because itís the only other place in Duluth (than Old Chicago) that has a decent beer selection as a restaurant. The food is horrible and overpriced, but they have a somewhat respectable selection of local seasonals and British Isles brews, mostly widely available stuff, but hard to get in restaurants nonetheless.
