I really enjoyed the room and the whole concept of the restaurant. I just wish they had a better more unique selection. Had a great time and will be back!!

En voyage d’affaire à Vancouver, seul. Belle ambiance, personnel aimable, bon service. Nourriture très bonne, et excellente bières en bouteille. J’ai bien aimé ce que j’ai vu ici.

Selection: couple of locals, some Canadians but mostly European. Not impressive. Friendly service. Not necessarily a beer heaven. Good location.

No beer op tap, but a pretty decent selection of bottled imports and craft beers. I didn’t really sample the food, just a salted nut mix with my Brooklyn Lager. Service was ok. Worth a try.

Great location and building, reportedly the oldest in Vancouver, right behind the Gassy Jack statue. Good service. Decent selection of bottled beer. No taps. Appies are decent.

Six Acres is one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver!! I don’t think there is a restaurant with more original character, and such beautiful architecture. On top of the atmosphere, the beer selection is fantastic - they continuously rotate a selection of 8 or so hard to find beers on-top of their already large selection (over 40 bottles I think). The food is great too - nice meat & cheese plates and an amazing tuna carpaccio. Definitely a place to enjoy an evening with friends. Vancouver needs more places like this.

A great place for a business lunch in the Gas Town area. I love the bottle selection and I could have sworn there was a few beer taps (one with Blanche de Chambly). Clean, vintage setting and very good and fresh food. Any place with Saison Dupont Vieille Provision and Schneider Aventinus has gotta be good no?

This bright, brick and wood space at the opposite end of Gastown from Steamworks (at the Gassy Jack statue) is probably of more interest to visitors than locals because a) locals don’t go to touristy Gastown often and b) all the beers are found at LDB stores. But that said, the brick of Vancouver’s oldest building, on the outside edge of Gaoler’s Mews, makes for a pleasant space, the beer list has enough interesting items (despite being a little light on the A-listers) to keep you happy. The menu looks interesting, though I wasn’t hungry. Along with Steamworks and the Irish Heather that sits a couple doors up Carrall St (find their whisky bar if you can), Six Acres makes a worthwhile stop on a Gastown pub crawl.
