A fantastic little beer and cider store just a 15 minute tram ride of Melbourne CBD that may take more time than you think to browse the selection. Probably too many good beers to mention but definitely worth checking the website for any new releases. Great guys to boot too and always keen to have a chat all things beer. Highly recommended for well priced and a great selection. *** Update August ’12. Slowbeer has now moved to a new premise along Bridge Road. I really like the setup. 4 taps available for growler fills and on-site drinking. Tables and chairs inside and out and they also do cheese and charcuterie plates.

Rating per website. Lots of interesting beers, usually a few dollars cheaper than my local up here. Customer service is pretty good, friendly and helpful. They do have a small problem in that some of the beers on the website might not have been updated as out of stock but this is a new venture so I guess they are still ironing out the kinks. Best selection in Australia and very easy to deal with. Recommended.

Great place in their new location in Richmond. Awesome selection from Oz and all over the world. Staff know their stuff and it’s really great with the revolving taps. Prices are a little cheaper with some things and a little more expensive with others. Overall, great place and I look forward to going back.

Love the 4 taps with seating inside and out. Its cool being able to grab a beer and have it there. The kegs seem to change very regularly as well which is always good. Very good selection of Aussie craft, great to see some limited releases. Great value for money. Thought threre would be more range of US and Danish stuff but what was there were the essential beers to have I suppose which is a good thing. Internet only purchases Maybe the best shop in Eastern Australia. Odd hours and sometimes slow shipping are really the only downfall of it but a great selection of beers, great prices and Chris may be one of the best in the country to deal with as he will hold beers for people and gives constant updates on what is coming in on Facebook and twitter.

[12/09]Physical shop, haven’t tried online yet. There didn’t seem to be 700 beers, at least on the shelves. Pretty good selection of Australian micros and well-established good beers. Quite a lot of emphasis on the modern "if less is more, imagine how much more more is" etched bottle and faux-distressed typography labels. No _popular_ rubbish beers. Seemed understaffed, but these things happen in small shops in the run-up to Christmas. Where I could compare, prices were without exception below what I’ve seen elsewhere. [82]

New location. Now has staff, an on-premises licence and food, but nothing that was good has been lost. Stock is somewhat curated in a worthwhile way. Staff know plenty. Prices still very keen. Plain dealing. Shame it’s on the wrong side of town for me.

Easy to find as you get off the train from Melbourne. Good selection of imported beers and lots of Aussie micros available. I generally don’t worry about pricing so just made up a dozen or so and got them to ship it home to arrive when I got home. All good!!

Ordered via their website - great service, great price, great range. Ordered Sunday and received by Friday. Great work guys, I will definitly be ordering more.
