First visited in October 2011. It’s a really cool combination of Restaurant, Bar, and Brewery all mingling together. Good job all around.

Snake River Brewing is a large brewpub on the fringe of downtown Jackson. The place is really divided up inside, with a busy host stand, bar area to the right, mezzanine for dining, and another dining area (I think; it’s pretty fragmented). It’s all white painted metal beams with light colored wood flooring and furniture. There were some small TVs in the bar area, so we could watch the Women’s World Cup semifinal. They had 8 house drafts plus 1-2 on cask. The beers were average, and so was the food. The beer is a good price at $5/pint, but the food is overpriced for what it is. Common for the area, I guess. The server was friendly but overwhelmed, and then their credit card system went down for 20 minutes or so as we tried to leave. So that part was kind of a pain. Having gone to Thai Me Up the day before, there was no way this place was going to measure up to that standard. But it’s a solid brewpub, maybe a little dated in terms of philosophy and decor, but there’s also a reason they’ve been successful for a long time.

For only living two hours away, this was my first time coming here and it was well worth it. Nice clean industrial look with local artwork. Had 8 beers on tap with several being limited or seasonal. The beer prices were good, $5 a pint, but it was more like an 18 ounce serving, which is great. Had a sampler of all 8 that was a good value. The beer was fresh and their menu was up to date (4 days old) I loved that they were brewing while we were eating. It gave the restaurant a nice aroma. The waiters were attentive and we got our food fairly fast. The food was excellent. Came out hot and wasn’t greasy (had the fish and chips). Definitely, better than what I was expecting. Stopping here, made my trip up to Idaho and back well worth it.

Got here for a lunch with my wife and son. The place has that 80’s feel to it. We walked up the stairs where you pass right by the nice looking brewhouse. Looking around I like how they include lots of local artwork with custom ceramic tiles and all of the pictures of groups of people everywhere. The food was decent but not noteworthy as was the beer. The help was friendly but the overall atmosphere was lacking as areas seemed to be under construction and sort of in-process and this the feeling that we were out of place and possibly in the way.

Semi-industrial feel. We sat on the roof deck, which is unheated and thus not open for seating at all hours. Ten beers on tap, eight in the sampler, "safe" styles which I enjoyed except for the malt liquor. Nothing darker than pale brown at the time. Pub grub. Good service. Cheap growler fills, only $8 for most, I had to ask our waitress if that was for two quarts or one (as in Florida); she didn’t know but got an empty growler to show us.

Nice big venue. Modern, good service, good food, pretty good beer. Prices are a little high, but that is to be expected in a resort town. Definitely a cool place that any craft beer fan would love, but non craft beer fans would like it as well.

The largest of the local breweries, the place was well sized with plenty of seating for people stopping in to eat. Brewing equipment is nicely visible behind the downstairs bar and I really liked them having a small chalkboard listing what was being brewed that day. Beers were pretty good and I liked that they offer a sampler tray that includes everything on tap. Food was also good and they had some great lunch specials. Standard beer lineup was decent and I really enjoyed the limited production big bottles I bought from the cooler just inside the door. Cool place to grab a drink and some food.

Very solid and almost archetypal brew pub. It’s big and open and really feels like place built on the 90’s and 00’s beer booms. Having had their flagship cans in NYC and being impressed it was a bit of a disappointment to find those were the best by a long shot. The staff was very friendly but were very slow and seemed either quite drunk or very stoned. That’s cool but the service suffered. The sandwich was pretty good though mountain town prices...

Place was packed but everything moved smoothly. Friendly and fast. Sample trays and decent food.
