This was my last stop on a recent SD craftbeer tour...amazingly finding out upon arriving that it was a block from my hotel after visiting 3 other places that day (note: the Hampton on Kearny-Mesa is the most centrally located hotel for you could want for an SD brewery tour). I arrived here an hour before closing on a Sunday evening...somewhat burned out from 2 1/2 days of craftbeer touring...yet this place somehow still stood out and became one of the best memories of the trip. Their beers were exceptional...about 15 when I visited. The dťcor is especially cool...a lot of blonde wood. I loved the bar back and the hops growing outside as well as a number of interesting dťcor elements. Couldnít help but buy the t-shirt with the ingredients for making beer plus "death metal" or "bluegrass"...your choice! All in all this was a perfect cap to a perfect 3 day SD craftbeer tour! Societe is a must visit when in the area.

Awesome place, great beers and friendly staff. $1 for tasters and they had 9 beers on tap. Growlers available as well. Really hot as San Diego was in the middle of a major heat wave. Highly recommended!

This place is tucked away a bit off of Clairemont Mesa. Yet another small industrial park strip sort of place where it appears they have a good chunk of the building for themselves. The majority of the volume is the 20BBL brewhouse, fermenter farm with what looks like a bit more room to expand if needed. To the right is a sleek looking modern meets sort of NW looking bar and tap area and to the left appears to be a window into a barrel aging room. I love this space, lots of wood, barrels hanging around, nice tables and to the far left outside are hop bines climbing up the building, nice touch. The staff was friendly and fun to talk with and they have a two taster at a time rule which Iíve never encountered before and have no problem with. I see eleven offerings today and Iím digging my way through ten of them. Good beer, great space, centrally locatedÖ yeah, Iíll be back for sure.

Societe is a huge open space with bar seats, tables, and communal benches. Its basic but warming with a touch of old time furniture and huge wood burnings of their shadowed figures, cool space. They have about 16 taps mostly ipas, with some Belgians and stouts. You can order 2 tasters at a time, a bit annoying when you are trying to get your tick on. The ipas are all pretty great but together they are a bit too much as they are similar. I wish they tasted different, even the pale tastes like one of their ipas. The Bachelor series with different hops is a fun flight. The stouts are lacking right now. Service was quick, but not very helpful. Wait times added up quickly on a busy day. Some of the best beers in San Diego, worth checking out.

Went here about a year ago - sorry but Iím kind of going off my memory here....
One the "hot" breweries at the moment. Beer was very good. If you like juicy, citrusy lupulin forward beers, this is your place. I really liked the Publican. Bright, fresh, floral, really nice. Ambiance is just so so and I managed to find grumpy from Snow White serving my beers.

Very open layout, nice wooden bar.Service was quick and friendly, good pricing. They were out of a few of their tap offerings, but still had a decent selection. Very good beer. Worth stopping in for sure.

This place has become on of my top places for a beer in San Diego. Most everything Iíve had here is outstanding. They do monstrously sharp IPAís like nobodyís business. When Roustabout is on tap itís a beautiful thing. Their stouts are fantastic too. The staff is friendly, and tries to get through the crowd efficiently. Their "collection" of food trucks is varied, eclectic, and good. Definitely worth the stop.

Stopped in here after visiting Alesmith, had a few of their beers in SF about a week ago so I was really looking forward to trying a few more of them at the source. Upon entering it is quickly apparent that this place is WAY bigger than it looked like from the outside. Tons of tables to the left over near the large barrel room with a large L shaped bar to the right. Atmosphere was pretty good even for the middle of the afternoon. Plenty of people milling about the large seating area creating a laid back vibe. Service was solid all around. I was served by two different bartenders and both were good. Guy just wanted to get my beers and thats about it while the woman was more pleasant and talked to me for a little while. Quality was quite high. From the nice wood bar tops to the stainless metal growlers, everything just feels high end. Selection was quite good, they had 9 beers on and 2 others kicked. I was a little sad the pale ale was off because I had heard such amazing things but the other 9 more than made up for that. Prices were no problem, growlers are a little on the high side but they use metal ones so no problem there just be prepared for it. I got a 1L for $15, canít wait to use it. Overall a really awesome brewery with a really nice space to showcase their beers. I will definitely return the next time I am in the area.

Stopped on a Friday night, sat at the bar and charged my phone. Ordered 6 tasters and 2 pints, $15 total. Service was excellent and they helped us plan a few more brewery stops. Cool atmosphere and outstAnding beers.About 12 beers on tap, a food truck was present.
