A real gem of a pub. Good old fashioned pub with perfectly kept beer and cider, a great atmosphere and friendly knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit...

I finally got to this place. Definitely one of the best pubs in London. The selection is great, with a solid range of about eight cask ales and eight ciders. (These numbers are approximates.) the layout is good, a variety of tables and benches. Good decor, vintage beer ephemera. But the top attraction is the vinyl. Yes, the Southampton Arms actually plays real vinyl records for their house music. Iíve been to a few bars/pubs around the world and this is the first place Iíve seen do this. The warm crackles and hisses just add infinite layers of credibility, excellence and deeceness to this pub. All beers and ciders were in good condition and the bartenders were pleasant and dealing with the crowds well. I recommend this place very highly.

One of Londonís best pubs, possibly no.1. Always a remarkable selection of real ales and ciders. The roast pork baps are to die for. A very mixed clientele locals and visitors of all ages. Good friendly bar staff who also have to change the vinyl records (of all styles) every 20 mins or so even when itís busy in the evenings. No keg (except for Camden Helles and Ink) or foreign beers Iím afraid. I love the sign at the bar saying all produce sold is from small independent producers - which sums this venue up.

My favorite boozer in London bar none. Once you step through the door itís like youíve entered a slightly parallel universe somewhere around the period between the two wars. So the selection isnít going to beat the likes of Craft Beer Co but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. If you like cask beer you arenít going to care anyway. As most people have said it does get very packed so try to time your visit earlier in the day if you can. You wonít regret it.

The looks are horrible: old and dirty. But they serve loads of (rare) local brews, all on cask. No bottles. No plastic payment, just cash. Very good prices: all beers are priced the same. Atmosphere was very friendly, with lots of locals and the occasional tourist (like me :P). Just see through the crappy looks and youíll see easily one of the best bars around!

The best arrival on the London drinking scene for years, yet it feels like itís been this way for generations. A constantly and rapidly changing range of 15 or so cask ales and ciders, with the emphasis on the latter. Ultra superb basic boozer. I love the place!
