This restaurant is a good place to take visitors for cuisine outside of the local Shanghai norm, plus there is a beer menu available so thatís a bonus too. The focus here is Yunnan inspired dishes and the menu is extensive with decent fare such as fried goats cheese, spicy beef and mint salad, noodles and donít forget the bug platter of deep friend honey bees, grasshopper and worms that are damn fine beer snacks. Speaking of which, the selection of bottles is heavy on the Belgian and German imports but donít expect to find anything more exciting than the Trappist brews. Thereís also staple US craft but one needs to be wary of the state of the beer, freshness wise, which goes without saying. The restaurant is hidden in a rear courtyard and up a flight of stairs and is popular with the Western crowd and prices reflect that. I find itís more enjoyable to come with a group to be able to share the plates. Closest metro stop:- South Shaanxi Road.

Very good food from Yunnan province. Beer selection decent - some Czech beers as Cerna Hora, US beers as North Coast and decent Belgium selection - mainly bottled beers. Although service is not very friendly worthwhile visiting as you will not find this combination of Yuannan food with international beer selection anywhere else!

I loved this place. Great wide selection of Chinese food that suits beer well. Try the fried goatís cheese. This is a must visit place in Shanghai with a long beer list.

Great food, a lot of it fried, which makes a good accompaniment for beer. Itís Yunnan food and very tasty. Try the fried bumblebees. Very lengthy beer list including lots of Belgian, German and some American micros. Great place in Shanghai.

Visited 1318 Lujiazui Ring Road in Pudong. A cool restaurant with a modern artsie feeling. Service was friendly and attentive, but the joint was empty that week day night. Around 90 bottled imports, quite a feat in the PRC. If youíre in Shanghai, bring the boss some beers. And try the cuisine...loved the fried goat cheese and potato pancake!

Cute little restaurant tucked away, peopled mainly by expats. Fun Yunnan food with some interesting menu items, and a good selection of beer to boot. If in Shanghai for more than a day and have already visited Boxing Cat then this and Kaiba are the next best places in town for beer.

Expat joint with Yunnanese food and a very nice beer list. Definitely one of the better beer spots in China. They do beer tastings occasionally and the owner is a beer fan.
