Dusty old 75cl bottles in the back, sold by piece. Got my hands on some vintage Rodenbach, Troubadour obscura, Carolus hopsinjoor, Buffalo stout,.. all at a very reasonable price and they were all just waiting there since a couple of years! Sevice is a bit grumpy, and the amount of dirty glasses makes me think that they quite enjoy drinking themselves. Great place to get the last stock of De la senne or other local beers

We went here with Jackie & Simon on Friday 23rd March 2012. Not so easy to find when a bus driver sends you off in the wrong direction but once youíve found it I guess that it wouldnít be to tricky to re-visit. We accessed this place via the Metro Bizet stop on Line 5 which runs relatively close (5 mins walk) Didnít really look at the smaller bottles instead concentrated on the large bottles and picked up Boon Mariage Parfait Gueze (2 bottles), De Ranke XX, Boon Mariage Parfait Framboise, 3 Fonteinen Kriekenlambik Scharbeekse and something else I forget, it came to 33 Euros I recall so not bad at all. Most of these large bottles out the back were covered in dust.

This is the only real drinks market for craft beer fans in the city of Brussels. Its selection of smaller bottles is fairly extensive, but unfortunately they are only available by the case. The 75 cL bottles are another story, available for individual purchase, and the big-bottle cave is worth a visit. The selection is strong on lambics and Wallonian ales. Some aged beers are available, including Fantome. If youíre not driving, itís not easy to reach from the city center unless your comfortable with the trams. If you happen to be there when the owner is in, chat him up. Donít be surprised if he opens a bottle or two to share. If heís not there, donít expect a lot of assistance. Last thing: Take pen and paper to record what bottles youíre putting in your case. They donít seem to have a scanner, so it will save you and them time when youíre checking out.
