76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 theisti (352) Leawood, Kansas | March 6, 2013 Visited last afternoon on a Tuesday. This may possibly be the largest "warehouse" style liquor store I have ever been to. It was more or less overwhelming, though it was easy enough to find the beer section in the far back corner. There is a huge selection of beer in coolers, and an equally huge selection of beers in warm storage. I noticed not all beer was in the cooler, so make sure to check both places if you are looking for something specific. I was looking for Deep Ellum Rye Pils, and was able to find it. I was hoping to grab a variety of beers to try, but there was no single or mix a six selection here. The lack of singles was probably the main drawback. Service was mega store functional. Overall, probably a better spot for locals than visitors, but regardless a good stop. | 58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 ilovedarkbeer (66) Dallas, Texas | July 12, 2012 Impossible to get into the parking lot. Beer selection is actually pretty weak for how large the store is. Couple of racks of dry storage with about the same stuff you could find at central market. Coolers in the back of duplicates. Prices are blah. This place needs work in the beer department. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 msante79 (335) Mount Prospect, Illinois | June 30, 2012 Massive warehouse type store. Beer is all the way in the back. Pretty good size selection of regional brews with the original JK Black Metal in stock which was a nice find. Had already sold out of Avery Uncle Jacobs, but beer guy on staff was pretty knowledgeable. For Texas this place was pretty nice. | 58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (306) Los Angeles, California | April 26, 2012 Large and pretty good selection. A fair amount of TX meads that I had not seen before. Zero help offered, checkout staff that day seemed clueless and slightly ghetto (if you want customer service, cross the freeway and go to Perry’s) Massive liquor and wine selection. Prices seemed average. Somewhat hard to get too if you try to use the Walnut Hill exit. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 17/20 cgmees (2) Texas | April 18, 2012 Great location, lots of beer choices. Does tend to stick with major brewers but has quite a few rare in Dallas finds. | 52 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 12/20 legion242 (107) Richardson, Texas | March 1, 2012 Ambience? None, just a big ass warehouse. Service non existent. Selection was just ok in the cold box, but they have a very impressive seletion on the dry wall- mostly bomber and 750’s. |
