This is the Mecca for wine and beer fans. Awesome selection of brews for Texas. Wonderful deli for lunch and just an overall fun place to hang out. Oh yeah, and the guys/gals in wine/beer department are helpful AND knowledgeable.

Specifically I was in the downtown store (on Smith St). Great selection, they had just about everything you can get in Texas and at decent prices Ė paid $4.38 for a bomber of Hog Heaven! They had an endless selection of liquor, gourmet food, cigars, etc. Very nice store, it will be a regular stop when I am in Houston.

Nice store for anything. They have a good selection of micros. I was able to get a couple of retired beers yesterday like a Unibroue Edition 2005. NIce but overall nice store.

General store for alcohol. Looks like a better store for wine. But, they do have a medium sized selection for beers. Some Belgians, but not as many as I expected. The micros are also spotty.

I was pleased to find a store to have the selection I wanted. This is about the best in Houston. There are about 2-3 of these in Houton to choose from. They had quite a few craft breweries to choose from as well as your usual swill.

The Specís on Westheimer definitely has a better selection than the other Specís ive visited, namely the one on 290 and Jones. But yeah theyve got a good selection, and they discout you if you pay with cash. I hear they have some good food here but I havnt tried it.
