Dropped in for a McMullen tick. Ended up necking the pint and leaving pretty quickly. Pretty average a drab. Aimed at tourists, but Iíd say that there are better pubs around even from that perspective. A place for ticks (although later found out that a pub local to me had been bought by McMullens so neednít have bothered).

I just came here for the four McMullens beers available. The bottled one was way too cold and the three casks were below average. Only go here for new ticks and if youíre close by.

Never specifically been here for the beers available, only for the various live music sessions that happen nightly, but itís not quite the tourist hovel you might expect facing the ever busy Cambridge Circus.

In the heart of Soho but not much atmosphere. Only reason to come here is that itís one of the few places to get McMullenís stuff. Beer quality was mixed. Had one half in good nick and the other was on the turn. Never really that busy so good place if you want to avoid the crowds and get a bit of work done. Would rarely stay in here for more than a couple of beers though.

The only thing that really makes this place worth visiting is that it has McMullens beers available; Iím not sure there are any other pubs in central London that do. I had a half of the IPA, and the condition was pretty poor. It cost 1.90 quid, which isnít cheap. The pub itself is pretty nice, has a good "pub feel" if thatís what youíre after. And the location is convenient. They have a full food menu. The bartender was friendly. Really only worth visiting for the ticks, as there are bars in the area with better atmosphere and MUCH better beer.

McMullens house smack in the middle of, well, everything. Decent pint of AK bitter. Itís a 30-second walk to the Pillars of Hercules, so keep walking.

The McMullens pub for Ratebeerians. I had a decent enough lunch as well.

A handy pub to visit if youíve just been to one of the many theatres in the area and would like to try some beers from McMullenís. Other than that, itís nothing special, but nice enough.

Pretty uninspiring West End pub. LIke many in the area, there are a lot of people coming and going but not much atmosphere. However, it is one of only two pubs owned by McMullens in central London (the other is the Nags Head in Covent Garden) and you wonít find their beers anywhere else. Not that they are generally anything special, but many out-of-towners will want to give them a go. This place scores over the Nags Head in that it has four handpumps rather than three. This means it usually carries the McMullens seasonal beers, which are almost impossible to find outside McMullens pubs, whereas the Nags Head usually just has the three regular beers. They do food of the standard British pub variety but Iíve never eaten here - I usually just pop in for the seasonal and clear off afterwards. Thereís a long established music venue in the basement that has something going on every night of the week. Monday open mic night and the Blues Jam on Tuesdays are free. Other times there is an entry charge.
