Maybe my first choice in town ... Very nice interior and staff very prepared about beer .. The house beer is more than good and the section probably the best in town with some rarity ... They don’t do food if I don’t remember wrong but we had some plate of cheese ...

This is a great place - hidden but surprisingly well known & always busy. if you can’t get a table, don’t give up, as it’s well worth it. Great selection of beer including their very good house triple - especially good at Christmas too.

Yes, it really is hard to find. But worth the effort. Classical music, great selection, the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon in Brugge.

Possibly our favourite bar, we never take advantage of their huge beer choice as we love their house brew and always drink that.

Down a tiny alley, up some stairs, and through an old wood door and you’ve entered beer nirvana. They serve only ales and they’re proud of it (as they should be). Old wood floors and tables add to the atmosphere. This is a beer connoiseurs dream. They do allow children. However, I would only take them if they can sit still and be calm.

We discovered this place while in Brugge for three days, and made return visits on two more occasions... we loved everything about it! Very knowledgeable staff, great ambiance, nice presentation of the beers on a platter with a white doily and a small bowl of cheese. The prices were very reasonable from what I am accustomed to in Canada. Too bad they don’t have a few more things to munch on...

Visited on (12-07-10) Definitely hard to find if you don’t know where to look or what you are looking for. The bar is down a tiny old alley that can be mistaken for a walkway. Great character and charm. Very small and cozy. Lots of stone and exposed wood beams. All beers on tap are served with a small portion of cheese and all beers come on wooden serving tray with white doliy. Full of older couples/locals who all knew each other. Great selection of beer all priced very well (4,50 euro or cheaper). Had a great selection of Christmas beers. Definitely must try the house triple "Triple Van de Garre" which was smooth and very drinkable. Superb beer. This is a must stop for any beer lover visiting Brugge (gorgeous city). Out of the many places/brew pubs and bars visited in Belgium this is still one of my favorites.

Excellente sensation !!!
