Great oysters with some pretty good beer to wash them down.

2008-11. Visited one afternoon in November a couple years back (possibly after they had renovated?), they were setting up for quite a to-do later that night but encouraged me to have a seat at the bar while they shucked and sliced away. The servers were quite friendly and seemed knowledgeable about what they were doing and about most of the beers. I went there mainly for the beer, the one that is contracted out to them, though kind of wished I had stayed for food. Would return again for the food -- not really a beer destination otherwise. Many locals will show up here looking for the Durham Oyster Stout which is regularly available here. Nice decor which feels more casual than it really is. Its fairly upscale and the prices reflect that. Great oyster selection it seems (I am not very well educated when it comes to oysters) and the staff is knowledgeable about them. All the taps are Ontario micros except for Guinness, plus a cask from Durham. I had the Oyster stout, two oysters and a fairly nice chowder while I was there.
