Attractive corporate-type brewpub with plenty of brass, brick and TVs. Good crowd fro a Monday night. Has about eight of their own on tap with a few guest taps. The ones I had were solid - no boundary stretchers. Good food - had salmon pasta and it was delicious. Service was not as attentive as it could have been, but was friendly when they got around to you. Worth a visit if in Eugene. | 42 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 Battina_Belfry (4) Springfield, Oregon | March 15, 2012 Steelhead is pretty mediocre as breweries go. The only reason I have to go in is their home brew root beers. Wish their other beers were as good! | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 bpreo (33) Eugene, Oregon | September 30, 2011 Nice environment, excellent beers, mild deal. I sampled 6 brews for 7 dollars | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 rkeller378 (6) Alabama | January 2, 2010 Best burgers in town. Great beers. Cool part of town. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Rastacouere (606) Montreal, Quebec | July 9, 2009 I did not expect too much out of Steelhead besides the fact that it was my first brewery visit in Oregon. Well I should have expected a whole lot more. This very large restaurant mixes the sports bar with hints of class and interesting touches like the London telephone booth you can see on the left. Efficient and extremely friendly waiter took care of us nicely. At lunch hour, it was quite packed, but it remains spacey enough that you can have a talk without so much disturbance from the noise level. The food was not too expensive and highly satisfying. It does not feel so much like a bar, I would not spend a whole evening here, but then again, the beers are good enough that it might be tempting. Solid IPAs. | 52 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 KAggie97 (220) Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | August 6, 2008 Situated in a nice brick waehouse building, the Steelhead brewery features a wannabe English pub/Old Boston decor. My bartender was not, overall, very attentive, despite my being there at opening time and being the only person at the bar. There were a few people eating and ordering drinks, yes, but, eh, whatever. Anyway, I had the sampler and the shredded BBQ pork sandwich. The sandwich was slightly above average (the bbq sauce was waaaay to sweet for my taste), bu tthe meat was cut-with-a-fork tender and was seasoned with pepper and the aforementioned sweet bbq sauce. The beers ranged from poor to slightly above average. And the rock music playing as background music wasn’t too shabby. | 44 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 NickVega (29) Eugene, Oregon | August 13, 2007 So far, I have not had good experiences here. The selection of Steelhead beers is good? Both times I’ve been here, the young servers are totally sidetracked and not paying attention to customers. Great place to watch a game -- they’ve got the televisions! Food has been totally fine. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 redbeard (1) Eugene, Oregon | April 17, 2007 Large groups of people like to go here because the place is pretty big and accommodates lots of people. However, after eating and drinking here ten times or so I have come to the conclusion that the service is usually slow and the staff is inexperienced. The food is also barely edible. I guess the idea is that after two or three beers no one will notice. Wrong! The beers (I have tried them all) are decent but nothing more. They make a nice red beer, but they all taste a bit flat and watery. Reminds me of a poorman’s "The Ram." Skip this place. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 BrewDad (408) Olympia, | February 13, 2006 Lots of good beer the place was pretty neat looking. Loved the old time feel. The staff was on top of things and the brews sevred cold and yummy. A good place to stop and have lunch and drink a pint. |
