This place rocks! Jan was off the day I was there, but it did not matter. Karen and Mike were incredibly helpful. The selection was awesome. So many beers that are not available in IL and certainly not Georgia. Lots of super small Wisconsin breweries. New Glarus, Tyranena, Capital, Central Waters, Furthermore, Sprecher, Cross Plains, Lake Louie, Lakefront, among others. Mix a six was also very nice!
Location on Madisonís Westside, conveniently located off Highway 14 and just a 2 hour drive from Chicagoís Northern Suburbs.

Visited on a Saturday night during a short trip to Madison. Bright, medium sized store, clean but nothing special looks-wise. Helpful and knowledgeable 2 guys behind the counter. Some food. Port wine selection suckie. Beer is mostly 6 packs in cooler with 2 smaller sections for imports and big bottles. So, selection is a bit small but decent stuff. Some harder beers to get like Intense Red and Shorts 6 packs. But the import selection is pretty limited. Make your own 6 packs is a small section (but in cooler). Prices on make your own were weird, for some reason some bottles were 1.99 even if they came from 7.99 six packs while others were appropriately priced. Nothing to come out for but if in the area and need something more than the average supermarket (which in WI is usually good enough) you can come here.

A nice section of local beers, some available in individual bottles. Also a decent selection of Belgian and US craft beers.

Stopped by on a Friday morning while the store was not too busy. Service was decent. As the other reviews have said, they stock a lot of local beers. Import section is somewhat lacking. Very clean nice store. Found more unusual things at their competition.

How the hell this place rates higher than Rileyís is beyond me. Is it a decent selection? Sure. Locals are well represented. A good, but certainly not impressive selection of singles. Lacking heavily in the imports. Certainly a better than average store, chances are youíll find something, but far from being a destination.

A newer location that often has a few gems hidden around. Walk in cooler section. Overall a decent selection with helpful staff.

A few high quality foreign beers here, but its mostly about local stuff. Lots of singles available and the prices are decent. Customer service vascillated between grudgingly helpful and downright unpleasant. Parking was fine.

Excellent selection of local WI beers. Lots of single bottle options, which I loved. Fair pricing and the guys behind the counter seemed to know their beer. They mentioned that the city was forcing them to leave their current location because the intersection is expanding...that sucks. This was a solid bottle shop.

Very good selection of local brews. Was impressed with the variety and the customer service. I also liked the individual bottles so you could pick more single bottles to try the various brews. Would definitely recommend for those who are searching for the Wisconsin brews.

Passing through Madison onto Darkness and we had to stop at one of the highest rated beer stores along the way. Its a decent place, worth stopping by if you are close but not a destination place at all. The quality of the beers is average, not a ton of super high quality beers or internationals but most of the better local brands. The selection is heavily biased toward local offerings Central Waters, NG, etc. They have several of each which is great for someone driving though to get locals you canít get out of state. As an added bonus they offer tons of singleís of most of the local beers, so for the ticker like me its decent. The prices are super cheap as well so thatís welcome as well.
Stop by for cheap locals but donít go out of your way.

Fairly decent place to buy some great brews. Wow, they had a lot of things that I was going to buy, but because Iím traveling, I simply donít have the suitcase space for it; plus, I donít want to pay $100 just to fucking lug this shit across the country. Anyways, the staff was so-so. Itís not that they were rude, but they didnít seem that friendly to non-locals. This place caters to locals, for sure; which I donít think is a bad thing, but, please, donít slight the beer lovers. The prices "seem" decent, but Iím not from Madison, or surrounding areas, so I couldnít say as to whether or not theyíre reasonable. Well, despite the trivial complaints, Iíd say this place is top-notch. This has a great representation of Midwest beers, and a decent amount of Belgian beers, as well. Fairly surprised to see some Mikkeller beers here that I havenít seen anywhere else. Iím happy that I was able to visit because this was bordering the limit of where my hotel shuttle services. Give íer a try if youíre in Madison. Sheboygan.
