The best place for beer and other beverages in Madison. The University & Midvale location also has hard-to-find meats and cheeses (my preferred store). Sales people are very helpful and fairly knowledgable about beer. Beer is also stored well. Lots of 6ers but plenty of singles. More Belgians than elsewhere in the area.

Best in Madison for selection and care in storage. Both stores generally employ competent and helpful people. There’s another store on University at Midvale.

Best selection I've seen in the Madison area, though I have to admit I haven't hit that Woodmans yet. Most WI micros well respresented, including as PJones mentions some of the rarities; also carries New Glarus limited edition stuff (like the Imperial and Triple) which can be hard to find. Small but well-chosen collection of Belgians, British, etc. Good service, parking lot, right off the Beltline, beer-friendly lighting. A must-stop in the mad city.

Notable for some really hard to find Wisconsin Micros (Viking, Lake Louie) and a good selection of single imports and fancier micros, most of which are in a darkened walk in cooler. Less light=less skunking. We like that. Pricey, but as of this writing, you get 10% your singles if you buy six or more. Good store, good people.

Good selection of Wisconsin micros and a few harder to find imports. Has a walk in cooler where some of the better stuff can be found. A place I like to check out when I'm in the Madison area.
