Awesome views of town from the terrace (multiple). Huge seating inside; nice modern/traditional atmosphere. Had Stiegl Zwickl (nice). Up the hill towards the Castle.

Visited May 2014. Terraced beer garden with stunning views over the cathedral and the old town. Beer selection was limited, but the Paracelsus was very drinkable on a hot day. Service was friendly and efficient. Worth dropping in on if in the area.

What a fantastic place to drink a beer, on the side of the hill looking over the cathedral and the town on the outdoor patio. Beer and food was a little expensive here, but that is justified by the location. I found a few beers that were new to me, including their delicious grapefruit radler and the Paracelsus, probably the best kellerbier I found during two weeks in the German speaking world. Service was friendly.

Tourist trap but fantastic placing with nice view. 3 taps with stiegl and they did have paracelsus. Boring bottle selection (mostly radlers and nonalc.)
Will only return on a familytrip, not for the beers.

You have to come here, not for the beer but for the view from the beer garden. They have the normal Stiegl beer range, so not bad. I prefer the top terrace with self service. Great view to the Salzburger Dom. You can walk from there over the Mönchsberg to the Müllner Bräu (30 min).

We walked up to the castle on our walk back rewarded ourselves with a beer here. We sat in the shaded garden, which was tiered, there were three terraces. We overlooked a few musicians playing to Austrian families out for Sunday lunch, we visited here on Sunday 3rd June 2012. I enjoyed this place, I never went inside, but it looked a large place and the food which I never had looked good and substantial. Nice bar, not as good as Augustiner, but worth a visit.
