Amazing selection, well-organized by country and by brewer. Staff guy is a beer geek, and likes conversation, so he’ll know what’s new and what’s interesting. Prices seemed reasonable. Street parking wasn’t too tough, but there are also some car parks nearby. Four or five taps as well. Worth going out of your way to try, and a must-visit if anywhere in the region.

Excellent little off licence. Phoned beforehand to check on range and any rareities and informed that they had all three varities of the Thornbridge Alliance result! got these and some Bracia and prices were also very fair in fact Alliance at £6.49 a bottle is possibly a steal. Really lovely owner and his son were very proud of their business been their since the mid seventies. Its well laid out and has a healthy range of mostly UK and Belgian with some US beers, wish I had more time in there but it was just a quick visit.
This is a belting, friendly off licence on a busy road, there is a large assortment of beers with American, Belgian and UK beers to the fore. It is popular meaning that the beers must turn over quite regularly, it did stretch the credit card somewhat though. This is a top notch bottle shop, well worth the trip over.
Wonderful little place that is well worth the trek to visit. Easily the best beer store in Birmingham with a great variety of Belgians and of course the UK’s finest. Extremely friendly service who showed a passion for beers and satisfying the customer - got a complimentary Brewdog glass for my purchase. Highly recommended a visit if you’re in the vicinity.
Really impressed with this place. Introduced myself (as I’d phoned to make sure they still had something I wanted) and low and behold a bottle of Fantom BBBOOO was produced for me. I was then left alone to wander around and choose what I fancied as I went through my list of beers I would have liked.
Interesting and changing selection: certainly the most I’ve seen in the UK before, both international and British.
I had a good chat with Krishnan? He has good knowledge and is very keen on his beers. Asking me to phone him if I wanted something I couldn’t get elsewhere and he’d try and get some for me.
The prices are not cheap, but we are talking about good quality beers difficult to find in the UK, so no big problem, just make sure you have a budget before setting foot inside or you could have a huge whole in your plastic or wallet.

A great selection! Easily the best beer store in Birmingham. Lots of strong Belgian ales, lambics and wit beers. Also a great selection of real ales. Service is friendly, and the location is convenient for all the top class balti houses in the area.
If not for another world class beer store just down the road this would be the beer destination in the Midlands. As it is you should check out both. The selection here may not be quite as comprehensive as at Cotteridge but you’ll be hard pressed to walk away empty handed. No space is wasted in shelf fillers. With a wide range of English counties, European bottles, and even some surprising appearances from the States this might drain your wallet quickly.
An oasis in the middle of a very barren desert! An excellent selection of hard-to-find, top rated American ales. A good range of Belgian/Dutch beers too. What is particularly interesting is the wide choice of locally brewed English ales, particularly those from Two Towers, Sadlers and Beowulf. Nice range of Brewdog’s too. The English beers are very reasonably priced. Yes, the American beers can be pricey, but that’s expected for 99 rated beers that have crossed the atlantic. I will return.
Reseved some beers via Twitter and was welcomed into the shop by friendly owner Kris. He’s very knowledgeable and personable and this level of service makes you want to stay for longer. The sourdoug. Ciderbread on the counter smelt fantastic, wish I had space for some. Selection good for suburban shop but difficult to compete with larger competitor nearby in terms of space available. There are different beers at each though so please do visit both!I came away with a good selection of beers and a lighter wallet.
