Stopped in on Stashtoberfest. Great crowd, even greater atmosphere. Started out at the bar, had a flight, then grabbed a table and a quick meal. Service was awesome, so was the food. The place is huge indoors and outdoors. Another great tap list. Well worth the stop.

Stopped here on my recent craftbeer tour of Greater San Diego. Coming from the east coast...this place is all you hear about...but after a couple of days hanging out in SD before I got here...many of the locals said to skip it altogether. The review of "jrallan34" from 7/4/14 is mostly correct and explains what most of the locals were talking about. Nonetheless, I wasn’t going to leave town without deciding for myself. Well no one disagrees the place is beautiful...and my high point was being able to drink a draft Pliney and Blind Pig side by side for the first time (only second time I’d had each)...ironic of course that my best memory there was of someone else’s beer. Bottom-line...good food...good beer...great ambiance...inside and out...but expensive...not many special Stone beers...and more of a restaurant then a craftbeer place. Still...a must stop for any craftbeer traveler.

Really beautiful location. They definitely go above and beyond, which it reflected in the lightness of your wallet as you leave. Pricier than most breweries I’ve been to but worth it.

After visiting countless breweries on our us trip, this one really left an impression. These guys have gone beyond and made a real destination to go to. Lots of effort put into making wonderful gardens and a beautiful spacious interior. The food was great and there is a fairly good selection. Don’t expect to find anything super rare, but the space itself and the experience as a whole makes this place a must visit for any respectable beer geek. One of the best breweries I have visited.

What a fantastic place this is with its huge brewer, bar restaurant and outside seating area plus the semi desert gardens. Then there is the great beers avaiable on tap. The first time that we visited was on an organised tour but on the second visit we walked from the Sprinter rail service station at Nordahl Road. There is now a bus service from this stop that goes past the brewery. This place does get very busy some days so the wait for another beer can be quite long.

Fantastisk stort sted.

What makes SBWBaG so special is it’s ridiculous awesomeness. The grandiose, arrogant (if you will) concept. Turn a shitty dirt hill into a relaxing, comfortable world class destination. With gardens and a pond, which after the sun sets on a warm sunny day comes alive with countless frogs chirping. Eat world class food, drink world class beer. Take a brewery tour, fill a growler, buy a shirt, hot sauce, or a dog bone from spent grains. San Diego’s beer scene and breweries are in a class all of it’s own. But in most of these breweries you are sitting in a converted warehouse which only has food if there is a food truck waiting outside. Once you step inside Stone you are in no hurry to leave.
