Holy crap, this place is huge, and awesome. Its just one massive room after another. Not sure exactly where everyone was parking but there were plenty of people here but still tons of empty seats. The look and feel of this place is similar to the Escondido location with a ton of taps, some bottles, and good (looking/smelling) food. Prices are the same as well. The best part about the tap situation is the availability of 4oz pours. Will definitely return at some point.

What a beautiful place. Looks rather unassuming from the front, but the interior is stunning, and enormous. Helpful and friendly service. All beers available in four ounce pours (as well as their various full pour sizes). Lots of different seating areas, a huge outdoor patio/garden area, and some bocce ball courts.

Visited for dinner on Friday 18/04/14 around 7.30pm.
About a 15/20 minute drive from downtown SD past the airport, Liberty station is an impressive place in the world of beer set amongst (I presume) old army barracks/stables/lodgeings.
The place was pretty busy as expected but there was only a wait for outside tables so we got seated inside straight away.
Tap list is super solid, standard Stone beers, one off Stone offerings for Liberty station, great guest taps - think Russian River, Alpine and the likes, all available as tasters = tickers paradise!
The bottle list was solid too with more Stone limited relseases inlcuding their 500ml specials.
The service was good but could have been a little better, a bit of a wait from ordering drinks to being asked for food and the guy was a little lazy in that we asked for a bottle of the Stygian Descent (BA black IPA) and he came back and told us it was out of stock. I asked if it was in the shop and he said they had sold out too (which was a dissapointment as I was really after this one). Turns out when we visited the shop there were loads of bottles, so this was a bit lazy ass on his part.
The food here was excellent, I had really good ribs to start and breadcrumbed pork breast for main.
The bottle shop is located towards the rear of the restuarant and carries most Stone offerings including specials, merchandise and also does growler fills (just standard Stone offerings I seem to recall).
In all this venue truly deserves to be called world class and I shall be back here like a shot on my next visit to SD!

Awesome new place, ridiculous interior set up where they have essentially an entire compound with giant ceilings and modern, minimalist decor. Clean, inviting. Huge spaces with open bars. Tap list included a lot of their own brewpub offerings, main Stone offerings, plus special guest taps including brand new beers from Ritual and Coronado. Focus on local southern CA beers. Generous samples in custom tasting flights. Will be back.

Close to the airport, Stone is a convenient spot to go after a flight for a quick drink. Finding it is a little difficult, as the area is huge and everything looks the same. Upon walking in, you are awed about the size. Its super nice wood and metal, with a distinct banquet room, dinner tables and outdoor areas. This place is cavernous, too big, doesn’t make me feel welcome. The outside is pretty amazing, worth having a drink at. The bathroom is really cool, you should go to just wash your hands. They have beers brewed there, from the Escondido and local drafts. I had 3 flights and I only liked 2 of the Stone beers. Very disappointing. All the ipas were super malty, where’s the west coast? The JW berliner was cool, but too hot and sour, only for the strong. The food was really good, I’d actually come back to eat only, beer is an afterthought. Not a top beer joint but worth seeing for the ambiance and food.

This is straight up wow and double wow. Beautiful place as its warm and rough and industrial, artistic, the outside feeling inside, man! A big bar area with lots of bar seating as well as tables in the bar area. Then there’s the restaurant too, is that a creek running through that dinner table right there? What! Lots of outside seating and tables and areas to relax that remind me of Lagunitas outside area. And there’s a tasty eclectic health conscious food menu and a long tap list with a longer bottle list along with offerings brewed right here. I love that. There were three or four bottles I so much wanted to order and try but that would have run about a C-Note for these particular bottles. Some stuff can be pricy. Stone is doing it up right and has dialed it in since my first fateful visit to the Escondido location when the restaurant opened in ’07 (which sucked ass). I like how they have a growler filling area away from the bar and restaurant, how smart is that. I can’t wait to head here again.

Visited on 17th March 2014 for an afternoon session of 3 flights of four beers and a pint. Very impressed with the whole set up. We sat in the gardens, away from the water features and outside bar area. We then did a little tour of the inside bar, off sales and shop outlet. They certainly haven’t scrimped when it came to spending money on setting up this place. All the beers were fine and we ate off the ’Meatless Monday’ menu. My Tempeh Sheperds Pie was lovely, as was the wife’s Muchroom Penne Pasta dish. It is not a cheap place to eat and drink, but we thought it good value for the service, ambiance and quality of produce.

We visited this new Stone brew pub on 24th of December 2013. It opened in May of 2013 and is, as expected, just perfect, typical Stone style. Inside very dark with a great bar, stones are used to deliver the Stone atmosphere, a large metal plate with the Stone Arrogant Bastard just makes it Stone like. On the right side you can see the small brewery. On the left side they have a Boccia lawn. The real attraction is the garden, greatly designed with small fountains, many stones and two bars, just perfect. They brew there own beers here in much smaller batches and the sortiment is changing frequently. We had a Stone Witty Moron - a black witbier and a Racer X from Bear Republic, they have a great guest beer selection mainly from California breweries, great!

A seeming recreation of the elaborate setup in Escondido. It doesn’t reach near the same level of elegance, but it is a damn nice place to enjoy a meal and sip on a few beers. It’s located very close to the airport, so you will hear loud airplanes every now and then. Prices are on the higher side for what you get, but the food is very good quality. Draft list is very good, but not as good as the other location. Good place to stop en route to the airport if you have some time to kill, but inferior to the Escondido location in almost all respects.
